Have a Mustang 2020 GT with wrench light on no code. Only symptom is that it struggles to start after fueling. Is that the purge valve? If so where is it and where can I buy it. I had a 2012 with the same problem and it got fixed by replacing the purge valve right next to the throttle body. On the 2020 I can't seem to find it though.

Why would you replace it yourself? It's covered under warranty.
Mine never threw a code either, it just had a fluctuating idle after fill up.
Topping off the tank (adding more fuel after the first auto shutoff) is the biggest thing that will cause the valve to fail.

I'd have to see where it's specifically excluded. It's part of the emissions system which is federally mandated to be covered to, what is it, like 80k miles.
They, Ford, replaced mine ('18 EB) under warranty with something like 34,600 miles. Zero charges.

Its rebuilt title so I figured any sort of warranty its already voided. It has like 7,000 miles and no problems just that wrench light no code. Also since the part itself is about $50 bucks and I'm installing myself I wouldnt mind getting it and getting my cruise control back

I don't know about how the salvage title but it covers used cars for sure.
Here's a link to the federal warranty information. Page 3 specifically lists the Purge Valve and solenoid.
You're right, it's not a terribly expensive part and it's easy to change. I've done it on my 280k mile Edge. Maybe it's not worth trying to get it warranted, idk.
FWIW, on my '18 EB, it's on the firewall on the drivers side.

Is it that part? I have a GT so I believe its a whole different part. I have been trying to look for the part online and it doesn't come up and cant even seem to find it on the engine bay

That may well be it. I checked my service manual and it's not on the firewall. It's under the beauty cover on the drivers side just above the fuel rail. It looks very much like what you show.

Correct ^^^ salvage/rebuilds are not covered under the Ford Warranties once the VIN has that tagging.

Aside from the above, you should be able to extract DTC's if any are stored even if you're not getting a full on DTC illumination in the dash.

Try getting the DTC using either of these methods based on which dash cluster is in the vehicle. You don't need a code scanner to grab codes you can do it via the Engineer Test Mode:

If you have a 2015-2020 with the ANALOG gauge cluster, you should be able to enter the “Engineer Test Mode”.

Follow this link:

If you you have a 2018-2020 with the DIGITAL cluster, you should be able to access the same test mode found here:

No codes at all, that was right after pulling purge valve out and spraying it with some carburator cleaner so I may as well just try get the replacement part. The problem is I can't seem to fins the exact part. The only purge valve sold is the one for 2011-17ish that looks totally different

Apparently this one "fits" my car but looks totally different from the one I currently have
