Hi all.

Test driving a V8 fastback tomorrow and if all goes well I had intentions of ordering.
Have been give a delivery estimate of 9 months but from what I'm reading I'm taking that with a pinch of salt.

Now the question is, do you think they will revise anything in that time. If in 8 months they released other options or a revised model would I be able to cancel and re order.

Sat in it earlier and was pleasantly surprised by the seats. But would prefer recaros if they were an option to us.

I hate missing out on things and wouldn't want to take delivery just before a new model.

I can't wait to finally drive one tomorrow. I'm so excited.

Cheers

I'd personally order if you like it.

As for the 'new car, new additions etc' nobody has a stinking clue. Same with the 9 months, could be more it could be less...

You can cancel your order at any time, until the order is 'commited' and the deposit becomes non-refundable (deposit is ÂŁ1000)

Check with your dealer to make sure that the deposit is refundable as mine wasn't, although everybody else's seem to be. Regarding the 9 month wait mine was ordered at the end of July and my scheduled build date is February with delivery in May/June so that will be a 9/10 month wait for me. What you have to remember is that there will be tax changes being brought in in April 2017 which will drop the yearly rate from ÂŁ500 to ÂŁ140. So if you order now with a possible delivery date in Sept/Oct 2016 it could be worthwhile to wait another 6/7 months to get the lower tax rate. By then there could be different options available for the Mustang (possible 500hp for the GT), but then the price could have gone up on it too.

I just don't think I can wait that long! To be honest this is such an impulse buy at the moment. Didn't think it was affordable until last Sunday!

Will have this on a finance agreement with ford so at least I could always upgrade later on in its life.

Just hope it's as good to drive as I think it is.

I know how you feel about the waiting, mine is to be delivered in May or so and I can't wait that long :headbonk: I'm probably going to go with a finance company for mine as I'm hoping to only need to borrow <ÂŁ10k (I have ÂŁ17k saved atm including the deposit and still have my car to sell.)

Good work. Unfortunately will be financing the whole thing. Will sell my car privately for 10k and then go from there.

Any one have a picture of the orange with ceramic interior. In my head it feels like it will clash but I don't really want black leather.

On the topic of money is going to be super douchey like me and pay for the car in hard-cash, rather than through cards/cheque/Bank Transfer etc.

Some dealers won't accept that much cash. Others will charge you for counting it!!

Would the bank let you take that much out in cash in one go? When i bought a car at 7k it took me a week to get the money out (1k a day limit.)

1) I work for the bank where all my money is kept.
2) Yes, fill out a form, as long as you're usually 24-48 hours stating before hand they can get the cash delivered to the branch.

basically as long as they're notified prior to it, you can. From ATMs, you can't.

My dad runs a Post Office, I know that he can call the ones that supply the money to him to get an extra load of cash. I could get it all in cash if I went to the local Santander but it would be risky walking around with that much cash, paying by debit card would be a lot safer option imo.

There won't be any significant upgrades until the '18MY, which is rumoured to be the year for the facelift, engine tweaks and new 10-speed auto. That will hit the US market in the fall of 2017, so no need to wait if you enjoy your test drive
