Just got a recall notice in for the insulation/battery cable thingy ffs Ford, you've had me driving round with a f'king potential fire hazard for 6 months:frusty:

Pathetic.

Booked in for Monday, probably to be told the parts are not available.

I mean a redesigned manifold is bad enough but having ANOTHER fire hazard recall on top of the first one is ridiculous. Isn't it?

I didn't get a letter about the first wiring issue so am not expecting one about this one.

Just got the letter this week as well George, you would think they have a couple of tie wraps and a bit of foil lying around though you never know

Got mine this week too. Checked it out yesterday, all looks neat and tidy although I'm not sure whether things are actually fixed in place. Anyone know if the other RHD markets have this recall?

Not heard of anyone over here receiving such a letter nor is there anything listed on our Government regulator's website.

Nothing listed on ETIS either.

Yeah, the letter states:

15S40 5.0L Right Hand Drive - Wiring Loom - Safety Recall

'a number of right hand drive 5.0L Mustang vehicles may have reduced clearance between the battery cable wiring loom and the exhaust manifold. There is a possibility that the wiring could contact the manifold and result in a short circuit with a risk of an engine compartment fire'

My car was built 18 Jan 16.

Mines just wrapped in heat shield, iv lowered the motor
10mm to accommodate the whipple and the cables are now further away from manifold still crap really. Ford should
Have routed the cables better.

Mine has had it done in August when I had the puddle lights replaced, unknown to me as I tried booking it yesterday to be told it was already fixed
