I am hoping you guys can help me identify why this wiring harness would have been cut and taped off? 2016 GT, 6spd, PP.

Is this a standard mod? What did it do before getting cut?

If you trace this wire back, it splits off from the same harness that goes to the MAF. Photos are facing towards the front of the car from the Driver's side.

Thanks

Mine came like that from the factory.
There has been much speculation as to what it is there for.

Wow, that's weird. Must be a hookup for some option that our car doesn't have?

I don't remember the details, but you can search. This has been discussed many, many (many) times. Someone else may have the details to post here.

It disables the traction/stability control system.
This is correct. Unplug it and the traction control and stability control lights come on on the dash. Plugging it back in turns the lights off. It does set one or two ABS codes, but they will not turn on the ABS or Check Engine light, at least not on my 2016 EcoBoost.............

Why replace it? Yours looks like every other S550 mustang. All that plug does is complete the TC circuit. It is taped up from the factory.
