Hi guys. Now that I finally received a build date for my car, I have to start thinking ahead and begin to prepare. I will likely be getting my Mach 1 towards the end of October and it will soon be getting cold by me at that point. I currently have an Ecoboost which is my daily driver, and it will be replaced with the Mach 1 as my new daily. This means I need winter tires for the colder months, as I currently have. Of course, what I have for my Ecoboost I don’t believe will fit on the Mach. My current winter set up are 18” wheels with 235 Blizzaks. I would like to still use Blizzaks as they have been good for me, but another good performing option may be okay. Either way, I also will be getting an extra set of rims for these tires, but I would prefer something cheap. What sizes would work with the Mach that are also good for winter (narrower)? Tire rack doesn’t really give options for Mach 1 with HP, but would the options shown for the GT performance pack also work? Not really sure, just want to see if anyone has recommendations or has a set up they like.

My base '21 GT came with pirelli p zero nero 255 all season. Drove through some ice and snow and they did surprisingly well, great in rain also. I think my stock rims are 8.5".

dang 235 would look so bad on a MACH 1. I would grab a new set of rims and tires for winter.

Yeah, don’t really need all seasons. I’d prefer snow tires for the times where I may be forced to drive in snow. Then I’ll have sport cup 2’s coming with the HP and I already have another set of wheels with Pilot Sport 4s for all the other times of year. I specifically want the best option possible to minimize risk in the winter, and also specifically for the Mach 1 because I’m not sure if fitment is any different from the GT and if there are any issues I should be aware of.

Yeah I’m not saying I want to still use those, just saying that’s what I have right now for my Ecoboost. I don’t even think 18” rims would fit, right?

Wide tires are bad in winter. 235's are ideal for winter tires on a mustang.

18’s won’t clear the Brembos, you’ll have to go to 19’s

I have a PP1 Gt not a Mach 1 but I bought an extra set of PP1 wheels and put LM32 Blizzaks on them. Does very well for me in Ohio winters. My thought process was for my car to look the same when i switched to the winter set up.

That sounds good, are the Blizzaks the same size as the stock tires? And for anyone who knows, I’m thinking the GT PP1 would be the same as far as fitting wheels as the Mach 1, is this true?

Yeah. My set up is the same on both sets. 255s in the front and 275s in the rear. But I think the Mach 1 HP wheels are wider?

Probably don’t want to go any wider than PP1 wheels. Skinnier tires cut through snow better. Going too wide will just cause you to spin.

I’m running 19x8.5 with 245 45 r19. This is probably about as good as it gets for Mustang snow tires.

Those wheels are too wide for winter tires. Traction is always better in snow with narrower tires.

I understand narrower is better but I wanted the same look year round. It's a compromise... I've been driving on them for several seasons now. Also through some 45lbs plates in the back. Zero issues.

I just refuse to allow my car to look that bad. I ran a stock size 265 winter tire on my RWD M3 for years without problem. I am running PP1 size rims right now and would probably just run a 255/275 winter tire if I had to.

Can`t get over how goofy seeing a MACH 1 on skinny 18 inch rims with 235 tires would be. Please post pictures if you end up doing it.
