Aw common pals, winter is upon us and the fun is just beginning!! As a fellow Colorado dude, my mustang is equipped with snow tires and no desire to sleep its life away when there is snowy drives to play in.
Some days winter tires aren’t quite enough…….

When you finally get the chance to swap to snow tires but you randomly have to drive in 55 degree temps 🙃🙃🙃 highly considering running through this tread just to get winter performance tires 🤔🤔🤔

I had my first oil change at 4k miles. Forecast was for some snow and I was in panic mode thinking the roads would be treated with Auto-Eater. Aside from rain the whole day it all went well. Parade is Saturday and plan on being there.

Looks awesome but don’t understand why anyone would want to live in that sort of climate. 😜😜😜

Does anybody put it on a battery trickle charge while storing. I do and I don’t see how your could cover the car and also have a trickle charge.

Many of us are using tenders which have been hard-wired in.

I purchased a Ford Performance tender; it comes with two pigtails, each with a distinct end: 1) alligator clips, 2) eyelets. The pigtails' other ends are quick connects, to attach to the tender itself.

Using the eyelet pigtail, the red lead was attached to the underhood fuse block. The black lead, a chassis ground. See links above for examples. With that one end of the pigtail installed, the other end, the quick-connect end, was fished out front, outside the car. The connector was then plugged into the tender.

Mine and others' are set up where the plug shows outside and you simply hook-up and leave it. The tender stays outside, where you can monitor. If I disconnect to drive, the pigtail has a rubber cap, to cover the plug and prevent water and debris from getting in it.

CTEK tenders are very popular, as are Battery Tenders.

The Ford Performance unit, which IMO is made by CTEK:

* When reviewing tenders, make sure you purchase one sized right for the vehicle. There are motorcycle, car, truck/RV tenders, some distinct, some which can support any vehicle.

** If you have a aftermarket lithium battery, shop for a tender which supports a lithium unit.

Got the “warning shot” here in SE Michigan that winter is coming. Snuck in two final nice weekends with the S197 5.0 ‘vert, and put her away for the winter this afternoon. The HPP is staying out though. The RE980 AS+’s made easy work of the ice and snow last winter.

We got ours on Halloween. Got about a half inch or so of snow and was in the low 30’s. Stayed in the 30’s a few days and has been back in the 50’s & 60’s since. Blizzaks went on that weekend but kinda kicking myself now with all these warm days. Lows are in the 30’s though so I think I made the right call overall. Conti Extreme Contact Sports and 30’s don’t mix
