What have you guys done with your windshield washer bottle? You guys remove it for anything? Seems like the perfect spot for a catch can or something if that crazy tall filler neck wasn't there. Or even cut that long neck off and fabricate some other style cap?

Seven years, 36,000 miles, never touched it. Not once. Safe to say I'd survive without it. Just curious if anyone made this move.

You can get a smaller one from a different application. The pumps arent very complicated it should be easy to splice in a connection for a different similar pump on a different shaped tank. I considered replacing mine with a smaller one due to fitment issues with some go-fast parts.

Idk why you dont use yours though, they’re helpful! If its close to empty it doesnt weigh much of anything either.

I fill mine with a few extra quarts of Motorcraft 5W50, so that I have it on hand if I ever need to top up the oil in the engine.

This thread brought up some fond memories of things I've done over the years given my lack of need of a windshield washer...

On a funny note, I took the rear washer on my '03 explorer and installed a spray nozzle facing directly back that shot out like ~20ish feet, so if people we're tailgating me (or I wanted to mess with friends), I could hit them with a fresh wash (inspector gadget approved). On a serious note, in my '06 STi I used the washer switch to control a C02 spray that would soak the top mounted intercooler and aggressively cool down the turbo...fun visual effect too seeing snow spray out of the hood scoop :)

That would work well for a Spy Hunter oil slick when being chased by a Dodge or Chevy!

I filled mine with Dihydrogen Monoxide and it left spots on my roof.
I was told that stuff is dangerous, but did I listen……..NO!
I used it even after I read this warning about it:

https://www.dhmo.org/facts.html
Well, I understand that oxygen dihydride is much safer when used as directed.

So I've decided I'm going to mount the catch can there and want/need to use that one hole in the frame; the one folks usually use for hood pins. I'm gonna cut off some-most of that long ass goose neck on the bottle and see if I can fab up a new lid for that part.
