I have never tinted the windows in any car I've owned. My truck came with tint...starting to bubble and peel after 21 years though.

Have any of you done this on a 2015 'Stang? Surely some have. How did it go considering the tight confines of the passenger cabin?

Did you just do the sides? Rear windshield? Top of front windshield?

What about reflective tint?

Also, since they can do blue tint.........I don't remember seeing blue tint on a car, probably did but didn't notice.....would my DIB look good with that - or stay with gray tint?

I know how opinions are.......but I'm asking anyway.:D

I care about infotainment
Don't tint the car yourself if that's what you're asking. Hire a reputable place to install for you. Should be $200-300 for everything for a good qualify film like 3M + quality install.

Had mine done before I picked it up from the dealer 35% on the drivers and passenger doors and 5% on the back and quarter glass. Tint is like picking a color everybody has their own taste what looks good to them, I would have gone darker on the front but got pulled over with my last mustang for being to dark

Had mine done 20% and nothing on the windshield. Had to get a letter from my eye doc so I don't get busted for it. I also am getting my money back from my pretax medical spending account since it is medically required due to photo-phobia.
As far as reflective, check your state laws. Anything reflective in SC is now illegal. I remember years ago when we ran with silver and gold tint and cars came from the factory with stripe and decal packages all over them!
Oh, $200 for a local shop to do it.

I would go with at least 20 at a minimum. That's what I did.

32% is legal in Georgia.

The company I am talking to uses LLUMAR Window Film and they have VISTA Window Film. Anyone here seen these or have a preference?

I would never do this myself. I am an IT guy....not a car mechanic.

Get the back and sides tinted, do whatever feels right to you... 35% is "normal" tint where you can still see through it at night without having to drive with the windows down. If you're susceptible to getting burned, get the ceramic option as it will work better than just metallic or simple tinted film. Another thing to keep in mind, metallic tints may interfere with gadgets like cell phones, portable gps, tollroad stickers/transponders. Ceramic will not.
Pricing depends on market, but around $300-350 for a quality job with a warranty is about right.

Level of tint is going to vary depending on personal preference/laws.

Some of the best quality tints are 3M Crystalline, Formula One Pinnacle, cut above that would be Spectra Photosync (also more expensive). You could look at something like LLumar Air Blue 80 for the windshield. As mentioned above get a good ceramic/non metallic tint so theres no of chance interference with all your gadgets.

OK!!! That convinces me!!! Can't do 20% in Georgia, but I will go 35% sides and back.

I have to ask about the ceramic reflective....will do that if available.
