It's just forum talk. It really doesn't mean anything. If I could afford a GT, I would.
I can "afford" a GT, but chose the v6.
I was able to tick everything off on my list with this model. Adding another 8-10K to the price just didn't add up for my needs/wants. Ninety percent of my driving is done stop light to stop light. I'm lucky if I get it out of 2nd gear before I've got to hit the brakes. Nope, having a v8 would have been liking dating "the hot girl" but never rounding the bases.

I can afford a GT just fine as well, but this is a daily, not a toy for me.
And had I gotten the GT, I know I wouldn't have been able to use it during winter...
Just due to emotional gripes. haha

And your insurance would be higher, and the MSRP would be higher, and the sales tax would be higher, and the gas would be more, and the f/r balance would be front, and the car would be heavy.

See. That's what I mean. In practice, the V8 is expensive for a lot of different reasons. And the eB, if you aren't a tooner and you aren't racing, isn't as smooth around town, and first gear is flat, and it runs out at 4500. So the V6 is the best. THat's what I mean.
I test drove a few used Shelbys recently. Cool, but not fun on a daily basis. I like to use all an engine has, not just the first 3200 rpm. I like to push it, push it real good. It's the same with motorcycles. An R1 is just get too powerful to enjoy. You're always chomping at the bit.

And you'll be slower everywhere and lack aftermarket support with no less than 5 complete supercharger kits and no performance pack with 15"brembo brakes.

Here we go we obviously don't care if we're slower. Go back to your forums were happy with what we got. The aftermarket is slowly making parts for us and a supercharger is on the way soon. If we were looking to be fast we would have bought a faster car. Duh no brainer!!!!!!

Stock all seasons vs pp with summer tires, suspension tuning, braces and the torsen I highly doubt the slightly lighter 6 will beat it

Who are we racing on the way to work every day? The mom in the minivan, the gal putting make up on, or the guy driving the Camry because his GT's at home in the garage? Even if we rolled up on a GT or some other car with a larger engine, we're both at the mercy of the guy in front of us.

I'm buying a GT as well, BUT, with a few grand in suspension and tires the 6 might surprise you..

My point exactly.
Wheels / tires / spring and at low speed handling stuff (AutoX) there is NO reason the V6 shouldn't be the quickest out of the bunch.

Please tell me how you know the 5.2 is such a good motor when it hasn't even been released

At least a v6 is faster than a Sentra ...:headbonk:
