Just The Basic Facts
If you must have PP + Auto, then get your Donkey down to your local Ford Dealer and put down a deposit for the Anny version...Problem solved...Oh yeah, they don't come in Grabber Blue...Well, get it painted-->

C'mon guys..
How long is the MY15 going to be..?
Everything changes for MY16 & beyond. These are limited edition 50th (ie: 2015) anniversary Mustangs, of a limited run... right?
Secondly, their market research might suggest, that those who want AUTOs might also, well enjoy the 300+hp ecoboost more. Plus, torque is what people like... (turbo = tq).
Again, why pay MORE money repainting when it could have been bought stock? On top of that I extremely dislike the corralled pony on the grille, the gaudy chrome accents on the taillights and the overly large goofy looking fake gas cap.If you must have PP + Auto, then get your Donkey down to your local Ford Dealer and put down a deposit for the Anny version...Problem solved...Oh yeah, they don't come in Grabber Blue...Well, get it painted-->![]()

The point is Ford is possibly losing some sales by evidently just being hard headed. Its their business but you would think they would want to attract as many buyers as they could. I will hold out for my TY automatic GT with a hopeful Brembo Brake package with gloss black wheels. They have a history of offering it with the automatic GT's so I will hope that continues.
I'd have to spend too much money on gaudy gold chains / bracelets and watches to be able to drive one. not sure at 48 yrs old I'm old enough for one either.Even the new 600HP Corvette Z06 will be offered with an Automatic and in a Convertible…
Well, on the other hand we (Europeans) aren't getting the Focus sedan/coupe version at all... only the "hatchback"...
Though I think what clearly infuriates me is the idea they are still sticking with to make "packages" for the cars. Why NOT let the customer pick and choose? It's what a lot of other companies are doing (over here atleast) like Audi, BMW and Tesla...
And even MORE so when they clearly says we CAN make an auto PP (the 50th)... we just WON'T.
And didn't I read somewhere else that the PP wouldn't be offered on the convertible either?
The Performance Package is ment specifically for SCCA competition. I know it's money on the table but, the Performance Pack is specifically ment for racing. Automatic's are severely impeded in road racing. An automatic transmission is not ideal for track or circuit... Maybe a competition model should be considered... Bring back the Mustang GTR!!!
Get a stick...
No problem. Sarcasm is lost most times in a written medium. I think what my whole point is why offer PP in the 50th ann. models then turn around and DENY that same package to any other GT automatic. Sure it makes the 50th more exclusive but tends to piss people off such as myself. Not really a solid business practice if you ask me.Hey...I'm being sarcastic-->
It's extremely hard, almost impossible, to find auto manufacture's offering total ala-carte options in this price range. I don't remember ever purchasing an automobile that had all the option's I wanted...
No convertible with the PP and Automatic is a big mistake by Ford.
I can only hope the bring back Wimbledon White for the GT350, and the GT350 is offered with an Automatic.
No, I mean the equipment that the performance pack Mustang GTR comes with was intended for the organization SCCA. Not a particular class but ALL classes the '15 is eligible for. For example, the MGTR's rotors are the SCCA maximum permitted size (380mm). The maximum front tire size is a 275mm, 285/295 are the largest size permitted with a waiver. Ford selected the components that are part of the performance package to be in accordance with the entire SCCA's rulebook. The #1 issue buyers have at the track is brakes and tire compliance, also another area most overlook while registering for the season. As a member of the SCCA I'm a little confused as to what you're referring to. Unless you mean it's for SCCA auto X???

Love to see a drag package too. And yes I have considered the steep ratio of 1st in the automatic. I think a 3.55 would be a steep as I'd want to go for what I use the car for. I'm assuming the auto will come with 3.31 gears or will it see 3.15's?I would like to see a Drag Package come in a automatic... Something people here haven't considered:
The 1st gear ratio in the automatic is a steep 4.17 (3.6x-3.7x for the Getrag). Consider the results of a 3.73 running a 4.17 1st gear, it pretty much makes 1st gear useless. Bringing the 3.73 down just defeats the "Performance" in the package too... Gotta keep them revs up but, with an auto, it would be shift, shift, shift, shift, shift, shift, shift, shift, shift....
