Why no performance pack for the automatic GT? (outside 50th ann. ed.)

I think the PP should absolutely be an option for the auto GTs. At the very least we should have a brembo brake option with the wheels from the PP. Right now there are no 19 or 20" options for an auto non premium GT and thats just silly.

Performance Package:
Front Brakes: 380 (15.0 in.) x 34-mm vented discs, Brembo six-piston 36-mm fixed aluminum calipers

Rear Brakes: 330 (13.0 in.) x 25-mm vented discs, single-piston 45-mm floating iron calipers

Front wheel & tire: 19 x 9.0-in. 255/40R Y rated summer

Rear wheel & tire: 19 x 9.5-in. 275/40R Y rated summer

3.73 rear Torsen limited slip
Apologize, for the dumb question. Will the GT auto have a limited slip rear and 3.55???

All Mustang models with have a limited slip differential. Auto GT's come standard with 3.15 rear gear ratios with 3.55 optional.

All Mustang models with have a limited slip differential. Auto GT's come standard with 3.15 rear gear ratios with 3.55 optional.
Auto GT Fastbacks comes that way. So far the convertible doesn't get the 3.55 option yet.

There's room and there's possibilities... and Ford just proves all this by
1. offering the LE with auto and PP
2. offering the one-off LE convertible with auto and PP

Further it seems all Ecos can have both auto and PP, so this seems just like a way to keep the LE GT more special... my guess is next year (or the after) you get PP and auto on GT verts ...
It seems the PP for the Eco is only the standard setup on the GT. For example the Eco PP includes 4 piston brakes which are standard on the GT. Not sure if everything converts over but it would appear that an Eco PP is almost a standard GT with the 2.3 Eco engine.

Technically, we already know that PP can be had with GT, as shown with 50th anniversary LE. So there shouldn't be extra cost of development. Similarly with wheels, why not have an option? Charge people if they wish. Perhaps competition from upcoming Camaro may stimulate them, although I don't like Camaro at all.

They certainly would have my money if they did.

Thank you for the reply. Just wanted to make sure they did not short-shift the auto. Now for a way to score the LE wheels. Man, I hope this Mustang drives/feels as good as it looks.
