Why does my sticker say "R" if it isn't?

I think you might be right.

This is actually an argument I had with the Ford dealership I purchased the car from. They listed it as an R. I told them it was not, and they disagreed.

Your post on this issue is not the first that we have seen, and the confusion at the dealer is more prevalent than you would expect from car people.
I hope they didn't try to push an R level ADM on you because of their ignorance !!

Funny enough in Canada the window sticker for my R only says "SHELBY GT350".... only indication that it is an R model is the "R Package 920A" listed on the options list LOL

EDIT: Actually it doesnt even say R Package LOL it literally only says "Equipment Group 920A"... then under the options it has the "R Electronics Package" which gives it away. But hilarious enough, if it were a Base R in Canada, there would be nothing stating on the window sticker that it is indeed an R model; they literally only indicate the 920A equipment group.

Ford has been using the circle R trademark for the GT350 on their website and other outlets ever since the car came out and still uses it at this moment. They probably stopped stamping the Window Labels as such due to the confusion of non-R vs R.

Local Ford dealer tried to convince me the non-R they had was an R. He pointed out the circled R and I asked him to point out the R options on the window sticker. Stalemate. The same dealer a couple months later had a real R and listed it on their website for $207,000. Yep over $200k. Crooks, I say, CROOKS!

Tom, thanks for posting the attached numbers.

Where were you able to obtain those numbers as the 54 base R's is 10 cars higher than information provided to me?

I was provided with a number of 44 base cars from what I consider a reputable source but then again as we all know numbers can change very quickly.

It is my understanding that 6 base cars were produced for 2015, 64 cars for 2016 and 44/54? cars for 2017 and ~25 to ~30 cars for 2018 for a total of ~150 cars over a four/five year run if we include the 2019MY.

Got this on this site. Funny you ask because I thought you posted it. This shows 54 base Rs mid sheet. However, I remember being told the final number was 942 total Rs in MY17 and this only totals 906. So this is close, but not quite the full year. Was curious to total all MYs up for base Rs, as you did, and get the same total.
