hopefully this wont get me banned but pmas doesnt make any of their products, they are a copy of jlt. so next time try out jlt.
Their MAF and tube are nothing like JLT. The shield is the same shape and size because all open intake shields are extremely similar because they are molded to fit in that location on the car.

Wrong. Can't be a copy when it performs better.

The intake box/shield is a 1:1 copy... The tube, MAF tube and filter are not.
So then I guess everybody copied Ford's design because aftermarket box/shields need to be made to fit a certain area.

I made 454whp 385wtq before adding long tubes, switched from jlt to pmas, and gt350tb. On the same Lund tune except for maf transfer function and tb tune changes I made 453whp and 378wtq. I had the car retuned on a dyno by Rev Auto and made 458whp and 395wtq. I attribute any extra power I made from the long tubes and tuning. I can't see how I gained anything from the pmas or gt350tb. I know its not a back to back, one part at a time comparison but I know the headers have been PROVEN to make gains. If I had it to do over, I would not have waisted my money on the poor quality pmas (crappy clamps, fitment, air filter housing fell off and had to epoxy it back on) over the jlt.

As much as I like the PMAS, I will go with JLT for this reason.
Absolutely brother!!!
They actually rip off the design of JLT. Really crappy of them to do this if you ask me. JLT is a better product anyways.

Who cares if the shield is almost the same? The fact of the matter is the intake tube, filter design and MAF are not even close to the same and the tube, MAF and filter are what actually counts not the shield.

I doubt the guy above made 458 rwhp just because of long tubes and tune. I'm sure the cai had a huge part to play in that. People keep saying the velocity stack falling off. Pmas will replace it for free with updated version. It appears most in this thread haven't seen the multiple threads where pmas out performs others. I haven't got dyno or track numbers yet for my setup but I guarantee you my car has huge change in throttle repsonse and butt-0-meter feels a the added g-force to.

It definitely could depending on the airflow requirements of your build. It does outflow the JLT and has less pressure drop at pretty much any flow rate. However at normal ~450-500 engine hp which is around 600-700 CFM the differences in pressure drop are not massive which means similar performance.
