I have the fans, TB and BAP and my car put down 670 rwhp. I have since installed Whipple's 10 Rib Belt Kit, Kooks LT headers, "green" hi flow cats and Borla Touring cat back and I am expecting to be right around 710 rwhp. I am just waiting for the upgraded LT tune to be released before I go back to the dyno so I will update everyone once this happens.
How much PSI? 11? Are you auto or manual? Running Whipples tune? How much was that catch can? Sorry for all the questions.

Well, I'm not sure what the PSI is now with the 10 Rib kit but I'll find out when it goes back on the dyno. I'm guessing about 13psi. I am using the Whipple tune and completely happy with it. Once you do a little research you will find that their tune is simply the best tune for safety and reliability. They have countless hours and testing into their tune with some remarkable engineers and in my opinion their tune is second to none.

Not knocking custom tunes, they have their place but for an "out of box" kit with stock like drivability and 670 rwhp with all Fords safety features still intact you just can't go wrong.

My car is a manual.

The oil catch is $250

Anytime, glad to help

Jaime

I am about to pull the trigger on a whipple kit this week. Can i opt for the upgraded throttle body without the dual fan kit and fuel booster upgrade? Or should i bite the bullet and get all 3. It sucks that i will have to shell out additional $$$. Is it cheaper to by these options when i purchase my initial kit? I want to be around 700rwhp. Is this too high of an expectation?

Thanks

Have to do th TB now, huge difference and cheaper now. Fans don't make more power on the dyno, just help with consistency in real world conditions but 100% work without so it's a consumer decision.

Fuel pump booster is not needed until 3.50" pulley but is. A good safeguard for the 3.625" but all testing was without. We've got a few tricks in there to help fuel flow.

I think the tb fans and bap are a must. When you spend the money you spend on that kit it's cheap insurance in my eyes and worth the extra HP, cooling and peace of mind it has enough fuel. That's just IMO and the route I went.

The BAP is plug and play they pre configure it at whipple to match their kit, how do you beat that?

Am I safe to assume when you dynoed the car it was 11 PSI? I am planning on Whipple's tune or a Lund tune. I have been using Lund tunes since 2006 and he has never steered me wrong.

Yes I have the BAP supplied from Whipple as an option. My car made 12psi out of the box. The 10 Rib kit should net another .5psi due to the greater belt wrap so I'm only assuming 13psi when I get it on the dyno.

Lund makes great tunes there is no arguing that. IMHO this kit does NOT need a custom tune for one to get flat out amazing performance from the start. If someone was to competitively race or use E85 then yes, but for everyday driving the supplied tune is perfect. Why spend more and go custom tune when you already getting what can be gained safely (670 rwhp)?

This is my experience and is not intended to "throw stones" so please do your research and go what ever route makes YOU happy.

I didn't see any stones  I appreciate the info. I just want something safe, dependable and of course powerful. Sounds like Whipple is doing an amazing job at that.

Oh that was just a blanket statement lol. Just meant I didn't want to come across as bashing anyone or any other company.

Factory system is fine for street driving. If you take to road course for racing, you need upgraded radiator and other parts. But for daily driving in 110deg weather, your good to go.
The PP GT has an upgraded radiator for track days. Is it enough to track the Whipple 2.9? Please speak about the other parts needed to track the full system 2.9 Whipple.

Thanks.

It depends on how big the track is, ambient conditions, etc. the supercharger, calibration and parts we supply are good to go. But the radiator could be an issue, we got about 12 laps before it got to hot, needed a cool down lap.
