I spent the day removing everything that needs to come off the car. I got to where I would start putting Whipple supplied parts on the car and was about 10 hours in and felt like it was a good stopping point. Reading ahead, I see that in order for me to use custom tuning, I am going to need some other input on the IMRC plugs, if I am reading the instructions correctly. I bought the stage 2 kit because I was always planning on custom tuning but the Whipple directions are a bit confusing. Any input from people who have been in my spot would be most appreciated.

The Whipple tune OS repurposes one of the IMRCs for a manifold charge temp sensor. Most aftermarket tuners do not use the Whipple OS and they require a harness that breaks out the IAT sensor from the MAF and puts it at the back of the blower case.

You'll need a different iat2 sensor. Whipple sells it for an additional costs. I believe PBD sold one in the past but Lethalperformance still sells it. If your going e85 additional items will be necessary

Thank you guys. I thought I had read in a thread on here, that it had something to do with IAT temps. I will get with Lethal about purchasing it first thing Monday morning. I appreciate the clarification.

Another question. I am coming up on a step where I have to cut a hose. The instructions state it's best to cut it between cylinder 5 and 6. Is this diagram correct for number cylinders on a Coyote engine?

The directions for this install, despite having been revised in 2020, leave quite a bit to be desired. On page 27 there is an idler bracket for pulleys, that the directions have you basically build with spacers and bolts. They have since made the bracket one piece but haven't changed the directions to reflect the revision. I spent 30 mins combing all the bags and boxes looking for these parts to build this thing that is already built. 🤬

If you contact Whipple support and ask for the latest installation instructions, they should email you the latest pdf. When I did my install last June, the install instructions in the box were from 2019, but after I contacted them they sent instructions from April 2022.

The ones that I have downloaded are from March of 2020. The ones in the box were from 2018.
I just got off the phone with Jake over at Beefcake and I have the IAT Harness coming. Big thanks to #beefcakeracing!!

Making the bracket one piece is nice. It was a pain in the ass to keep all the spacers together and on the bracket and then bolt it in place. and in order and get it bolted to the timing cover. Had to get creative with the painters tape.
