Question for 2015-17 whipple stage 2 cars? When you went e85:
1- what HP did you gain?
2- stage 2 72 lb injectors or did you upgrade to larger?
3- what tuner? I am on whipple cal, so looking for tune.
4- what fuel system?
5- Double or triple fuel pumps? Electrical upgrade (FC2 controller)?

Trying to decide if the 2k to 3k cost is worth it or not. Would you do it over again?

2016 that has had a Whipple for over 2 years.

1. +120 hp with 3.5 pulley (more if I pullied down to 3.25).
2. Upgraded to 1050x for E85 use and fuel delivery capability.
3. Lund tuned
4. Fore
Thanks for the reply! Did you go with double or triple fuel pumps? Also, did you do an electrical upgrade?

No worries; that’s what we are here for.

I’m running the Fore L4 dual pump setup with the fc2. No electrical upgrade is required and all power and grounding is included with the kit.

What pulley were you using before? Anything else that contributed to the 120hp gain?

I was using 3.625 on street (91 octane) and 3.5 on track with 100 octane. I keep the 3.5 on for everything now as there isn’t E85 at the track and I run the 100 when I’m there which the 3.5 is perfect for. When I go back on the E, there is no reason to pulley down as the power is just ridiculous. I’m running E probably 95% of the time.
The 120hp all came from the fuel system change and good quality E85. With the gen2 Whipple I was at 800rwhp with the 3.5 and what I’m referring to with the 120hp increase. I’m now running with my gen3+ and I’m over 900rwhp still using the 3.5. The extra hp now is from efficiency and E85.

Getting ready to pull the trigger on the same kit, any problems since your last post?

None. Daily the car and still run my road course events. I am running the 3.25 pulley daily now with the E85.

Nope. Oil pump and crankshaft gears only. I also have Boss primary tensioners and MMR drivers side secondary chain mod. Compression checks are all good on all cylinders and no oil loss between changes. Catch can has usually a third capacity which isn't much.

Seriously? The reliability of your set up is nothing short of impressive. I’m still getting parts in, and will be installing everything in the near future. The car has 57,000 miles, And I’m a little nervous about boosting it and nearly doubling the HP. Other than the typical MT82 troubles, I’ve never had a problem with the car. I guess I’m afraid to ruin that streak. Your set up gives me hope lol.

No problem. Don’t hesitate to ask questions as that’s what we are all here for.
My car is a manual and although I did run my mt82 for a good period, I’m on a tremec magnum xl since earlier this year. I’ve got a build thread on that in here.
I do have Instagram but I post nothing; not a social media guy. This is the arena I’m most active in.
