Has anyone else had the top transmission bolts be long enough that the intercooler won't sit flush? I thought it was the wire loom causing the problem and after sticking my hands down there feeling and feeling I realized the top transmission bolts were stopping my intercooler from sitting flush because they poked too far through. I pulled every trans bolt 1 by 1 and they are all the same size.

Am I supposed to cut my top transmission bolts? I have them out right now. Can't put them in. Just need like an inch off.

Just finished my install. My bolts sit flush with the block, didnt protrude at all. Someone have your tranny out and put the wrong bolt set in?

Cut off wheel is what i would use, screw a nut on past where you are cutting off to straighten the threads when it gets screwed off, and guide the wheel for a straight cut.

Mine were flush also. I would say you put the wrong bolts back in the wrong holes. I wouldn't feel comfortable sawzawing or grinding in my engine but up to you.

I thought so as well, but I pulled all the bolts out they are all the same size.

Now I am putting in a 6060 trans in place of the MT82, so that may be the reason; not sure.

In case anyone stumbles on this in the Future, I found out the top of the bell housing on the 6060 trans is a little thinner than the MT82. This is why the bolts protruded. What I did was get 2 M10x65 bolts from the dealer. I asked them for 2011 GT500 Trans bellhousing bolts. The MT82 bolts are M10x80. This difference should fix the issue.

Getting close to getting this thing on the road!!! :) Got a few other hurdles with the 6060 wiring, but getting it all ironed out, and hoping to get first start this sat or shortly after.
