***Problem seems to have been resolved***

I'll start off by saying that I did put a ticket in with Whipple. I'm awaiting the response. I recently finished up my Stage 1 Whipple kit install. I flashed the Whipple supplied tune with the tomahawk. On the first drive, the throttle was non-responsive and the car was down on power big time. I cycled the ignition and double checked all my connections. Whenever I restarted the car, power and throttle were normal for only a minute and went back to the limited power issue. Restarted again and the same thing after a 1 minute delay. The car must be going into some kind of limp mode. I verified everything I could think of. Both charge temps are measuring accurately. I checked the IMRC harness and resistor with a meter. Also the throttle extension. At no point in time do any codes pop up. Not even a wrench light. I managed a few data logs. One is with normal operation followed by the loss of throttle response / power loss. I honestly can't see any difference in the logs though at that point. Once again, this is on a stage 1. Stock throttle body, 55 lb injectors. Any whipple experts in here that can help? I appreciate it.

you should start a log and log all the way until it goes in to limp mod. so you have before during and after the problem starts all in the same log

I did just that. The problem is I honestly don't see much of a change in the log. I'm no expert, of course. Especially with the PID's whipple uses. Might as well post it up if anyone wants to see it. It happens right at the top of my hill around the time I turn around and reverse. Then just cruise back down the hill.

Do you have the right IMRC harness plugged in? If I remember one of them get's left unplugged, and if the wrong one is plugged in, it will act like that.

Yea, it has to be correct. Wire colors match up perfectly. Resistor harness measures 22 Kohms. And MCT in the logs show valid temps anywhere from 100-120 from what I've seen. From the research I've done, the incorrect one would also throw some codes and read -40 MCT.

I'm getting super frustrated. Not a peep from anyone at Whipple support. It honestly has to be the tune at this point.

Damn I get immediate responses. My emails over the weekend and holiday were responded to at 630am central time on Tuesday, so that's what 430am their time?

Wow, that's crazy. I even tried calling, but you can't talk to anyone for support. I may need to resend.

Yes, I did speak with Jeff yesterday. We think we know what's going on. Waiting for an update at this point to confirm. I feel better knowing they are working on it.

Update - so they sent me a new tune file and it appears the problem is solved! I haven't had a lot of time to test, but it didn't take long for that problem to show up. It always surfaced within a minute of startup each and every time.

From the sounds of it, the problem was either a corrupt file or some kind of error triggering their security in the tune. That basically locks the car down in limp mode. That's all beyond me. I'm just happy to have my car back.
