When I do the dyno after the Whipple install, what do they typically take the rpm's to? Considering I do not have headers or a BAP. Just curious. He seemed to let off a little bit early on my pre-install dyno. Just curious what most run the rpms up to, on the dyno, after Whipple install. I've seen 7,800. But that's with headers.

I asked Dust @whipple this a couple weeks back and he posted somewhere on here that the Dyno operator should take the dyno pull to the rev limiter setting with the Whipple cal. Dustin said it's a soft limiter and wont hurt to hit it and will ensure the pull is taken to max RPM. 7500 was the pre flight controls cal with a manual and now its 7800 with the new flight controls cal. For an auto it's less, but not sure what.

Right this is why Dustin says let it hit the rev limiter, so the Dyno operator doesn't pull out early. More power to be had in the last 500 rpm.

Did you get the new flight control calibration?

Not yet. Once he busts everything open, and we get out the flare kit, I will get my tune and flight cal. Assuming they are 2 completely separate things. I am still a little fuzzy on that part. But I will understand it better once it's out and plugged in, and tells me wtf to do lol

Yeah it's a 2 step process. Once you get the flare tool software installed on your laptop you plug into the OBD port and key on so it can read your vin ID and software ID number. You need to send the software ID number to Whipple and they send that out to have the calibration made. It takes 2 working days once you send whipple the software ID to get your calibration.

My suggestion is do the flare tool software install now and plug into the OBD to get this software ID off to whipple ASAP. It's in the instruction.

Really hoping to be bringing the car home tomorrow. It is done, and just waiting on the Whipple tune. Reallyyyy hoping the tune get's here today. Whipple said today for sure, so I have faith Then I can pick it up tomorrow and throw it on the dyno as well. Pretty dam excited

Ahh.....spring time at last, and All the new whipple stangs coming out to play. Looking forward to seeing and hearing about your car. I did mine in the garage and finished the end of Jan, but still waiting for winter to break. Here in Northern Maine it snows until April, it's killing me man:frusty:
