Can anyone advise what benefit if any, using a Vented over non Vented Catch Can? Anyone have any data at higher boost levels? 18/20PSI Boost.

Vented is generally preferred due to the fact that it will not affect the tune in anyway and allows the pressure from motor to escape freely.

However, vented catch can may produce a smell that is not desirable.

You should ensure that whichever method you use, don’t vent one side and recirculate the other.

Ask Beefcake because he is knowledgeable and sale whatever products you might need for a solution.

UPR might make a dual can but I’m not sure.

Yes, if boosted vented seems to be the preference. I recently installed a Motion Raceworks vented catch can on my whipple setup. Driving around normally I don’t smell anything. If I’m aggressive with the throttle or go WOT, I do get an odd subtle smell in the car. Smells kind of like a mix of oil and e85. Haha

I run a Mighty Mouse vented catch can on my Camaro. It has a Whipple 3.0 at 19 pounds of boost and 1066 WHP. The vented can only pops off if you see any positive crankcase pressure which saves seals from blowing out.
