I am thinking about the Braile B129. However I want it to be able to start the car a few times a week and sit in the garage a few days without starting and not completely die. I want it to be trustworthy for driving out of state or vacations I may drive for out of state for a week and don't want to be on the side of the road with a dead battery. These are the two batteries I am looking at below. I also am curious do I have to program the car via FORscan to reset the battery learning?

Top the Antigravity battery up before installing and you don't have to do a reset either. I'm pleased with mine.... ATX-20HD

I have an extra Shorai LFX36 that I am thinking about trying out. You can pick them up for like $250 so if it works might be a good budget friendly option.

You mean put on a slow trickle charge for a few hours at 2-3amps?

yes and no. You need a charger designed specifically for a lithium ion battery. I use the Ctek charger that antigravity sells

The Multi charger I have is below.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BLLRM8R/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_.TnJEbJ5YAZ08

Also would this work? I would want a mobile charger so on the road I could jump myself if anything happened. Will this work?

If it is compatible with lithium ion batteries it would. The first item looks like it is a conventional battery charger. The second item looks like it is a lithium battery to jumpstart a conventional battery.

Once the battery is charged with a lithium battery charger, you probably wont need it again if you drive your car frequently. If it sits for a while, you should have a battery maintainer that is compatible with lithium batteries.

Hi guys, just wanted to chime in with a couple things to be mindful of and that's hopefully helpful....while technically the multi-chemical composition chargers should work we tend to stay away from them as it's just an easier way to eliminate the possibility of the charger charging with the wrong profile so as Tomster mentioned, a dedicated intelligent lithium charger is ideal. Shorai makes a solid battery by all means but one thing to be aware of is that there are no protections built in, so if the battery does go dead and get over discharged you would not want to attempt to jump start it as that could lead some very bad results. Having protections on the battery in automotive applications is the only way to go in our book. Lastly, in regards to discharging, lithium is great because it does so at such a much slower rate than lead/acid but it's still restricted by a finite amount of capacity. If the vehicle does go with longer duration's of sitting or there are other accessories/aftermarket electronics on the vehicle, going to a larger capacity like the ATX30-HD has can make a huge difference.
Of course as always, feel free to reach out to us with any questions!

I have heard you shouldn't jump start traditional lithium batteries but are you saying the Antigravity batteries can be jump started or that the battery protections prevent it from being drained to a point where that would be necessary?

Basically you should not jump start an over discharged lithium battery, say, anything under 11v to be safe. The ATX20 and ATX30 HD models have a shut off that doesn't allow the battery to get that low so it would be safe on those models...the full automotive line with regular group sizes go a step further and have a dedicated jump start capacity built in (we'll have a group 26 that should fit most ford application in the coming months)which is even wireless and in addition have some much larger capacity options.

This is great info! I have been looking into this as well as HVAC delete. Thanks @Antigravity Batteries for chiming in.

Currently at 3638 on a full tank but wouldn't mind losing more on the car and I wouldn't mind losing a pound or two lol.
