The ECU can add or subtract up to 10* of timing from it's base timing tables, so it has quite a bit of headroom to gain power on higher octane gas than 91.

Higher octane also protects better against knock, especially in hot temps.
Thanks EPA.

Ah, the good old days. Check the prices. Pumps couldn't go over 99.9.

Sounds like I'm in the minority - I have been running 87 in my 2019 GT 5.0...

I believed even if it is a GT, you would still get the benefit of 91 octane cause it is a performance engine.

I use ethanol-free 91 at Quicktrip, around here. I used BP 93 on the Ecoboost.

Here in Huntsville, we have tons of locations that vendor quality 93 octane gas. That is what I use in my '15 GT. Honestly, Huntsville has a fantastic car scene.

Wait, you don't spill the last bits of peasant gas on the ground before pumping proper 93 octane?
That actually happened to me once when the car was like a week old. The pump nozzle was broken and the internal valve was open, so when I pulled it off the hook and turned to put it in the filler for the car, gas dumped out of it all over my fender, lol. I immediately got out my detail spray and microfiber to wipe it off, then had to throw it out. I was pissed, but in that situation there isn't shit you can do. It's not like the cashier getting paid minimum wage can do anything about it.

Premium will certainly give the ecoboost a slight boost, however in my opinion it's not really worth the extra money.

Then again if I had more money coming in then yes I would always run premium.

only 93 in my GT premium. Mostly Shell gas, but sometimes I use costco or Sams club also.
