It actually means "I'll be on your side, or your advocate or friend." And its history goes back to mythical King Arthur legends from English literature. The phrase was used in the movie "Tombstone" by Doc Holiday and was popular in the 19th century as a way of saying I'm your friend, or I'll stand with you.
Well then certainly notagain is not as well read as you and like being a "knucklehead" (as described above) he used the word incorrectly.

Thanks for the info!

Looks like decades of being a "book worm" has finally paid off for me. LOL!

Marcus, totally understood and appreciate all of your comments and hope that we can agree to disagree despite our differences of opinion.:)

At the end of the day I really wish that you will eventually make a move back to the Blue Oval side of the fence and suggest that you will be very happy that you did!

:like::like:
That's exactly the thing. With me, there is no fence. The flaw with many of the logics on this forum is caused by that. There is a such thing as being brand loyal to a fault. People miss out on all there is on offer because of unfounded bias. I've had a well rounded experience. They've all been imperfect, but honestly to this point the ZL1 has been the best, in my opinion. That's where I'm at at this point with cars. I look forward to purchasing more cars in the future. That's where my enjoyment lies. Enjoying the best the auto industry has to offer (and I can afford), not confining myself to one brand or another. The GT500 will be on my short list for sure.

He also used it in the movie Tombstone as a goad...or a way to get Johnny to draw his gun first so he could justify killing the a-hole. Here's a clip from that for anyone who doesn't remember the movie. It's my favorite Western flick of all time! To channel my inner Comic Book Guy impression I'd say it was "the best Western movie clip ever!" LOL!

You will NEVER stop C8 vs GT500 Comparisons from here forward. Period.

When Ford pushes the GT500 into territory that is ABOVE GMs halo car entry price it simply cannot be avoided.

Mid engine vs Front engine 2 seat vs 4 seat be damned what does matter is the comparitive price!

So stop whining about people bringing up the C8 and maybe take a hard look at why is the Mustang really worth approaching 6 figures?!!!!!

Youve subtly aimed posts at me in the past so when you make ignorant posts like this Ill be your huckleberry......... LOL

"slower cars are better performers, and because they cost les, they are the better buy"

Im just here for someone to rationalize that statement when figuring out which is faster.. applies to both, 1lE and C8.. soo

LOL If I remember correctly the ZL1 was faster than the C7 Z06 so GM doesnt exactly protect the Corvette either.

I got the reference immediately, I use it all the time, ever since I saw Tombstone. Absolutely love the movie, and I would place it in my top three westerns. The Unforgiven, Tombstone, and don’t laugh,...... Young Guns (1&2)

Val Kilmer will always be the Doc Holliday for me, he absolutely killed it in this movie.

Oh I'd never laugh at a Young Guns fan, that movie was awesome too!

I stand corrected, Huckleberries. <smiling>
An new avatar? Excellent. Taking advantage of the mass troll attack today and the ensuing diversion is pure genius.

Alas, time is not your friend. Someone soon will drop a dime on you and it's back to Marianne.

Your reference to Olive Oil was perfect, BTW, that's exactly who she LOOKED like! (adios for now, Olive) :-)

Simpler times...

Standing by for a report from Lost Wages.

I am fairly new to Mustang 6G. Joined when I ordered my GT500 and have a DUMB question..

How does a question on Embargo Lifted that may help us poor bastards that are waiting for our cars turn into a C8 vs GT slugfest? I see this on a lot of GT500 threads.
