Hey guys, just wondering if there's anyone out there with long term experience with high quality hub centric spacers. I'm considering putting some on mine, but a little worried about effects on the wheel bearing and other suspension components long term (several years).

Thanks!

The wheel bearings fail in stock form, so I wouldn't worry about that. I've run them for a couple two or three years now and it's been fine except for the time one of the lugs stripped out on the spacer and I ended up having to cut my wheel off. I recommend just getting wider wheels or wheels with a more aggressive offset.

The safest spacers are replacement extended studs with slip on spacers. Not needing additional bolts and fasteners means fewer points of failure.

hub stress is worse anytime you shift the center of the contact patch away from the center of the hub, but its not the spacer itself, its the total offset of the wheel and the spacer, and wheel width is a factor too.

hubs will fail earlier if you put more leverage on them, but IMHO the front hubs hold up pretty well. The rear hubs suck on our cars, but they aren’t terribly expensive if you can do the labor yourself.

I went with the Eibach 20mm spacers on all four wheels. Made in Germany so I can only assume the quality control is better on them than the China specials you'll find on e-bay and the like. That said, a properly offset wheel is better in every circumstance. I'll be taking them off when I replace the wheels with something wider.
