So lately I've been getting this really bad wheel noise on my front passenger side. Kind of like a rubbing/knocking sound. Its very loud at low speeds. It gets super crazy loud when I turn the wheel all the way to the left. Looks like nothing is hitting. What is this sound? Wheel bearing? lose control arm? ALL stock car. 17 GT 10K miles only.

A brake heat shield maybe? I changed pads and rotors on mine this weekend and had a slight rubbing especially when turning left. I must have bent the heat shield when replacing the rotors and it was rubbing the bottom of the rotor.

I’m going to check the brake shield tonight an let you all know. There was no rotation done. Took it to a tire shop and they couldnt find anything really wrong, they did said the “wheel was a bit lose”. Guess they were talking about a bearing? I’ll make a better vid of the noise when turing and moving. It’s very loud now. Almost like your even scared to drive it when In a turn.

I cant get the dropbox link to open but I think I know what you're talking about. If it's what I think it is mine was intermittent and just went away on it's own.

I got home and jack up the car. I start to undo the lug nuts and they were extremely loose! The wheel was barely held on! Wow.... Tighten them all up and bingo, sound is gone. Don’t ever trust shady ppl with your car.

Could be a wheel bearing. Jack up that corner to get the wheel off the ground, and rotate it by hand to see if you can pinpoint the noise.

Glad you caught it in time. Many years ago I had a rear wheel come off due to loose lugnuts. It did a lot of body and suspension damage and damn near killed me. There is nothing funny about losing a wheel. No matter what the Kenny Rodgers song says. :headbonk:

Geez... so you go to a shop, they check it out, tell you the wheel is loose, but they do NOTHING about it??!!??

That’s damn dangerous, you’re lucky that wheel didn’t come off at speed while driving and I would never go back to that shop again...
