I'm curious to know as alot of us like to change our wheels for various reasons, what offset are you using? For those that have changed them from factory spec, any drawbacks with long term use?

+35 on all four 19x10 wheels. Better handling than the stock PP1 setup and no drawbacks.

Welcome to the Forums.

+35, 19x10 as well. Square. I can't foresee any long-term negatives. If anything, I lessened certain stress points and improved performance as each wheel is 10 lb / 4.5 kg lighter than factory. Physically, I continue to have good clearance at all points. Have never rubbed a tire. Alignment is factory and tire wear is OK.

The thread above could have the insight you're looking for. Warning: it's 185 pages long. 🤓

Thank you for the link. I've seen it mentioned a few times but I just hadn't come across it yet.

I've had many cars through the years but haven't done much for mods. My first car was a 69 Firebird, yeah I wish I still had that one today. I didn't do much to it, other than drive the snot out of it back then. I've also had an 2004 Jeep Wrangler with a 3 inch lift, along with 33 X 12.5 tires, but of course I bought it that way and only maintained it while I had it. The car I traded in for the Mustang was a 17 Ford Fusion Sport. The only mod it got was a 93 Livernois tune, along with a drop in air filter. I didn't really want to do much to it other than give a little more excitement.

This will be the first car that I will probably get more involved with. Wheels, tires, suspension, tune, IC and maybe some others in there, not yet realized.

I'm generally a play it safe but push the specs a little, without breaking. So this will be a learning process for me to say the least.

My first order of business is wheels, that are supposed to be here today according to UPS. However I may have already disqualified myself from the agressive fitment thread, 😆.

@op I just looked at the picture of your car that you posted on the intro page. Did the seller mention the original wheels?

I believe the HPP Ecoboosts all came with these wheels...

They're identical to the Mach 1 premium wheels. Not sure if they run the same offset but probably. Rears are 19x10 et52.5 fronts are 19x9.5 et40.

The wheels I have are OEM to the HPP. However, if it had the handling package, it would have came with the one you show. The HPP runs squared, 19X9 et45, which is what I currently have. Otherwise the ones, as you mentioned the fronts, 19X9.5 et40 all around on the handling package version.

I see now. It's the Ecoboost HPP without the HP. Ford really knows how to use the H & P for various stuff.

19x11 +52 square on 305/30/19's. Handles like a dream but it's not for everyone.

It tramlines like a MF'er on bad surfaces. It requires slip on spacers for rotation flexibility and camber if you don't like poke or want maximum handling potential.

I'm sure this will come up if it hasn't already but slip on spacers are a non-issue. It only becomes an issue if you don't know what your doing.

The Ford way I guess. I wish it had come with those wheels, I probably wouldn't be buying new ones if it had ... hmm, then again.

Thanks!

One of the things I like about this wheel set-up is this:

This is where I currently am.
19x10 +35 front -1.8° camber (result of lowering)
19x11.5 +56 rear -1.2° camber

Can't rotate, of course. During constant-g turns at an autocross, I noticed the front breaks away first at the limit, as expected. This is why folks do squared setups. My setup has more accelerative grip than 19x10 squared but it understeers at the limit in constant-g turns.

A common track and autocross setup is 19x11 +52 squared, with the front using slip-on 25 mm spacers and -2.5° to -3° camber. You need camber plates and extended wheel studs to do it.

Apex has a bunch of setups here:

Thank you sir! It's a 25 mm.

I see you have a 76 Torana in your stable. Got a pic of it? I love those Aussie Muscle Cars.
