I could go for some cooler weather. It was 95 and humid as shit here in VA today.
concur. About 90 here with humidity of a tropical rain forest. I call this weather "Satan's Ass Crack" LOL...
We’re cool here in the Chicago area today, overcast and 70. Supposed to be in the 90’s with heat indexes over 100 next week. Will be super humid from the corn sweat (yes, that’s actually a thing here in the Midwest)
I can take dry heat, but I'd take the cold over humidity.

Last two days have been clear blue skies, but the previous week had been grey, overcast and foggy. Below was from Tuesday, thick fog until after 1pm, while the predicted temp was highly optimistic and that sunshine never eventuated.

6.9-deg C = 44-deg F
Feels like 5.1 C = 41-deg F

I washed the Jaaaag today, which was the first time using my new buckets.

The tyres got scrubbed with ADS Clean, the rotors treated with Atom Mac. In the foam cannon and both buckets today, Koch Chemie GSF.

I didn't expect an extra 5 litres to make much difference — but it does. On the downside, the bucket is noticeably heavier to lift out of the sink. Hardly unworkable, but you feel it. On the upside, the extra depth gives you more room to rinse out the wash media before hitting the grit guard at the bottom of the bucket, which I like.

It also took a bit to acclimatise after so long with the smaller buckets. That might sound silly, but when you've done something the same way for years, it takes a while to readjust your movements — muscle memory is a stubborn thing. Overall, a nice upgrade.

I also tried P&S Reflect Glass Finisher — another combined glass cleaner and water repellent, a category that ranges from terrible to genuinely impressive. So far, I would say Reflect lands in the latter. Its SiO2 formula produces a lovely slick finish, and despite the cold conditions, it flashed away noticeably better than comparable products. True to P&S form, it smells great too. The standout feature, though, is that it's safe for interior glass, where it's claimed to help reduce fogging.

Meanwhile, after spending the night on the CTEK, the Jaaaag went back into storage.

It's been brutally hot and humid in South Texas lately and last week we had the highest heat index in recent memory...122! For those on the metric system, that's 50C!

Still haven't tried out by Yeti buckets but it's been way too hot and humid to do much of anything outdoors except jump in the pool which, BTW, is almost as warm as bath water. Unfortunately, tomorrow is mowing day and that can't be skipped or put off.

That's crazy. I have family in Texas and they always say how hot it is. It is miserable enough here. I am thankful that even though it is dry, no restrictions here. But I do try to save as much as I can, yet I use more than I ever have due to having 2 living here now instead of just me, case and point, its 5:30 AM EST and I just put the 1st load of sheets in the washer, 2nd load to come soon :) Not to mention all the microfiber I will be doing this week (2 cars to clean, polish and coat)... Oh well, do the best ya can is all you can do..

Yep, it's hot Alex...at 0630 as I type it's 81/89. But those two cars make me tired just reading about all that work. You're a machine, dude. <grin>

Headed to Ohio in a couple three weeks for a 55-year high school reunion which should be interesting but I'm looking forward to the cooler temps.

Yeah I am thankful the first one is a VERY well maintained car, one I (we) wash weekly :) My boy's S650. Light polish with Essence and coating with ADS Pro... The coating he has now isn't holding up well..

Then for the Bullitt :) I have washed this car more times than I can count too. It was coated 3 years ago, but not too terrible long after was hit in the driver front in a Walmart parking lot, new fender and hood and respray. So the whole nose has been unprotected all that time, and the paint is already a wreck... Time to get it pretty again :)

SO...YOU wash your boy's new Mustang, not him, Alex? There must be a story behind that.
"WE" wash it normally :) I take lead initially as I have a process, especially for the wheels. He is learning fast, only been washing it a year, he still has a lot to learn. Plus this week, I am on vacation, he has to work so I will be flying solo...

I was hoping that was the case, Alex and there aren't too many things better than a father-son experince. Question is, is your son as obsessive about the task as you are? <BSEG>

Yes he is, totally. You would NEVER know he isn't my flesh and blood son. I do claim him as my boy, but biological children for me was never in the plan from the beginning unfortunately. I just look at him frequently and marvel at how alike we are.. Other than he is as skinny as a rail, and I am "ahem" NOT :) pretty much one of the only differences LOL..

Day 2 in the books. Super happy with the results. BUT I found out the ADS pro does NOT like hot weather too well. The heat and humidity had it curing super fast, I had to redo the rear bumper twice before I got the hang of it. I guess that is par for the course on a new product to me. It does make the paint super slick, I like it a lot for sure now that it is applied. I backed out in the sun to check for high spots, found a few, fixed them (Rupes long neck nano and a 2 inch pad with some P&S Rehab, wipe off, prep, re coat :) ) Now she is back in the garage for the evening, and I am having a shower and a nap again :) LOL... Gonna top with ADS Ceramic Spray sealant in the morning before it gets too hot, and call it done.

That was my experience with ADS Pro as well, Alex. It flashes quickly. Temperature when I did the Explorer was about 75F and fairly low humidity. I topped with Amplify after 4 hours per the instructions.

That S650 looks great

Yeah I will hit it in the morning, I am absolutely killed today. I probably will use CSS, was gonna do Phobic, but my shoulders are killing me :) I think I can manage CSS.

And yes he does have a beautiful car. It has come a long way from stock :)
