Just thought I'd ask since a lot of the aftermarket vendors have saturated the market with intakes, exhausts, turbo/super chargers, suspension parts, GT 350 parts, etc..

What is everyone anticipating for their next S550 mod? Or is everyone just saving so they can spend ASAP?

Just curious

Saving for me! Picked up a lot recently. All I have left that I want to do are intake mani, paxton, and some suspension work.

I will be doing a couple more minor cosmetic mods:

1. Big Worm stripes (still debating style and color)
2. Window tint

After that its a whipple! But waiting a bit for that one!

Next mod after I get my car and get my bedroom full of mods installed will likely be long tubes. When that will be, who knows. If I find the right deal, probably pretty soon.

edit: I guess the *next* mod will be window tint and gloss black roof vinyl, but that's already planned.

I've done quite a bit to my car in just the last 30-days: SunTek Carbon 35% tints, JLT oil catch can, Noico 80mil sound dampening (cheaper, but quality alternative to Dynamat) in the entire trunk, Steeda 35lb clutch spring, Steeda ProFlow CAI and a Steeda 93 octane tune.

I think you're seeing a lot of new products being pushed because the weather is warming up now and people are shopping around for Mustang upgrades. It's the same reason you see advertisements for patio furniture in the spring and space heaters in the fall. The product coincides with the weather. Just wait til Memorial Day weekend approaches. Everybody and their mother will be having car parts sales!

Here's the Steeda ProFlow CAI. I bought it together with the SCT X4 tuner, so there's no restrictor insert. VERY noticeable power gains together with the tune and awesome sound. No Placebo Effect here!

Most of my mods are visual. I'm coming from a 2013 V6 premium so the power is more than I need for right now. I just got my wheels and tires in and will be getting installed tomorrow. Took advantage of the AM wheel blow out and got the Holgen 20x10 and some 275/35 nittos all the way around. I'm also getting some exhaust fabbed tomorrow as well. I e got some Borla ATAK mufflers I'm getting welded in. Not sure if I'm going to do an x/h pipe yet. I'll see how they sound with the res first. Also ordered some springs and the steeda bushing kit. That goes on next weekend. Not bad for only 300 miles on the car :)

Using self control to avoid spending money on anything tune or FI related, that's driving me crazy. Second, is trying to figure out what cool shiny stuff actually offers performance improvements.

I'm waiting for enough data on all the intake manifolds dropping soon so I can make a choice. I was pretty sold on the gt350 IM until some cheaper options are coming out soon that may make similar or better power. I have the basic bolt ons, Lund FF tune, DSS aluminum DS, Blowfish shifter bracket, SR springs, lighter wheels and already have Mak cat deletes so I'm not sure if I want to spend 1k on long tubes for another 10hp or so. Cams maybe down the road if they are proven to get us past the magical 500whp mark NA. If thats not enough for me then there is always the Speed by design turbo kit!

Of course exhaust, duh. But I am focusing on lighter wheels and suspension improvements. 435 HP is just fine to carve around in the mountains and backroads. I'm also going to install a tranny bracket to tighten that flinstone POS up (manual) until a MGW is in the cards. After the warranty runs out, perhaps I'll do some kind of engine modifications but, quite honestly, I see no point in paying $250 or so for an intake that nets me like 13HP without a tune, which is, what, another $300... whoopdydoo. An engine modification to me rhymes with turbo or super charger. Then I'll worry about CAIs and all that hongdingery.

I'm staging my mods to prevent my bank account from hating me too much. Next up is springs, BMR rear subframe and diff lockout kit.

After that it will be tints and stripes. Then move to either the GT350 IM or LTH.
