Guys another question, most of you have a lot more experience

Would you prefer race red over grabber blue? I really like the red saw both in person blue looks like a more unique color that is special for this year whereas red is much more common? But red looks really nice.

Thoughts?

Thing is grabber blue is much easier to get because there is twice as many of them as race red.
Honestly, if I could do it all over again; I'd get the Laser Blue.

Red is cliché
Gabbler Blue is feminine
White is fleet
Gray is for luxury (yes I have this)
AG is a primer
Black washes out the lines

I'm still pretty new here, but your threads, and even your posts sure do seem to generate a lot of drama.

Color = personal choice.

I went black because I saw it on the showroom floor and it blew me away. The lines and the aggressive look suited exactly what I want.

I spoke to the owner and he made me an offer for my Z51.

Sadly I had a business trip the next Monday so I didn't make a move. But the day I got back I called and confirmed the deal was still on the table. I picked her up the next day.

For a $1,000 adm? That should not even be a consideration.

And if you are looking for something exact and specific, you will never find happiness with it. Why not? Because if you find the right configuration and you even buy it, you will find other things you are not happy with. It's just the way things go when you are that specific.

Let go a little. Buy a car and enjoy it.

Was black my first choice? Yes, because I think it looks the best. No, because it's the toughest to keep clean. Yes, because it doesn't scream "look at me". No, because it doesn't scream "look at me".

Pros and cons to everything.

But if you never actually pull the trigger, you get none of the enjoyment of any of it.

I don't go out my front door anymore. I go in and out of my garage. Why? Because every time I pass the car I feel amazing and I smile and I sigh and the joy and satisfaction of having a piece of history and the car of my dreams in my garage.

Right now the car of your dreams, if it even exists, is sitting in a dealership somewhere. And that's no fun at all.

I understand color is a personal choice.

The kind of feedback I am looking for is:

- Dont get X because that color will fade easier than color Y
- Color X is more difficult to paint blend should there be any body work required
.....

Etc

This is more of a "based on your experience, does either color have issues I should know about?" question

Man I am on a roll, got another MSRP deal but its grabber blue. Hmm...:)

I honestly like red better as a color, it looks like the ferrari red and my wife really liked it too. But still would like people's opinion from a maintenance perspective

Gabbler is new to the S550 so not much experience

You could always see what the 2014s said about it, and the Red has been available on the S550 since it came out, so they may have a lot of info to help.

Fair enough. In my opinion Grabber Blue looks like a Hot Wheels color. I think it's horrid. I simply don't like cars that scream "Look at me". Red tends to draw a lot of unwanted attention. Black is my personal choice but I got tired of being married to a Black car as far as keeping it clean.

I went with AG not because I loved it but because it was the one I saw, the dealer had just got it in, and received 2 calls about it while I was there. Now that I have lived with it for almost 60 days, I like it as it looks different depending on the light and it appears to stay cleaner looking for longer.

If I had to chose between Grabber Blue and Red, I'd go with Red. So there's my opinion which means nothing to you, does it?

I spent at least $1k reading this thread..:)

Spend the $1k, drive it for a week and you will forgot about the ADM.

I paid $4.5k ADM, drove 4 hours to get it and every time I drive it puts a smile on my face. I actually forgot I paid ADM until this thread.

As for color, its a personal choice but I personally like Grabber blue over red. The care already stands out, Red will grab more attention especially with the cops, especially here in CA.

Someone should make a poll...:D
I'd actually like some odds.

A BMW guy going into a very "loud" colored ford?

And based on previous posts, I'm in the camp guessing it won't happen.

I genuinely hope it does. But I don't think it will.

I did.

And my M4 with full Remus exhaust was louder than my GT350. ;)

It's either 1) some kid who got into his father's account, 2) a person with a psychiatric issue, or 3) forum troll looking to get a rise out of people.
Pretty sure you're right on. . . I go with Option #1.

I just imagine a bunch of middle school kids sitting around MCars computer and laughing at us while mom makes sandwiches and pour's yahoo's.

Right on.

Coming from a family of BMW enthusiasts, I'm proud of you. Clearly you don't need my approval, but youve got it anyway. And better to not need it and have it, than need it and not have it.

Haha I'll have to visit some of his previous posts before I can come up with odds. Be back in a few......
