Just picked up my 2020 Ecoboost Premium today and noticed that under the drivers side tailight is a piece of soft velcro or something. Is this cause of poor fit at factory and quality control caught it at end of assemble line, does not line up exactly wth passenger side tailight, the drivers side bottom is a little closer towards the front.

Congrats on your purchase, as far as the velcro goes, perhaps some kind of tag was there and removed?

Great colour @steve2150 :like:

Mine had those in when I viewed it straight off the back of the delivery truck, but they were gone by the time I collected it.

All Mustangs have it. Probably to prevent paint damage, and/or noise. Leave them alone :).

Confirmed they are on mine and my co workers '19 too. On my car the passenger side has 3 that I can see and they're thicker than the 1 I see on the drivers side. Co workers car has 1 on each side and are about the same thickness. This leads me to believe that they're for alignment of the lights or bumper.

All new mustangs have those. Some of them are more visible. Just use flat-head screwdriver and push them in.

Now that I've seen them, this is the way. Although I'll use a plastic knife.
