Look like the pcv valve carbon canister to me …

Turbocharged engines don’t have intake vacuum in quite the same way as a typical NA engine. Because of that, other systems have to be added to counter lack of vacuum under certain operating conditions. Vacuum reservoirs and mechanical vacuum pumps are common for turbocharged engines and are needed to operate the vacuum controlled devices when there is not enough intake vacuum.@Mike Pfeifermentioned it was a vacuum reservoir.
I've attempted to find a Ecoboost vacuum layout, but could not. FWIW, I do think I've identified the part.
What does it help control? Anything that needs a vacuum.
While driving, the amount of vacuum available (measured in "Hg" or inches of mercury) varies with throttle. While at a stop and idling, vacuum is maximum. But at WOT, vacuum is minimal.
The reservoir is there like a gas tank. When you need to operate a vacuum-controlled device, the tank ensures vacuum is available to it.
Potentially affecting so many items, I don't mess with things like that. The Engineers put it there for a reason.
YMMV.

Is there anyway I can delete this??It's the vacuum reservoir for the oil filled vacuum assisted engine mounts that were used up until late 18 early 19 model years on the EcoBoost cars. They changed engine mounts in late 19 early 2020 to non oil filled non vacuum assisted mounts.

I am not sure if the engine mounting brackets that go from the block to the mounts are the same from 2019 to 2020 model years but if they are then you can buy the non oil filled vacuum assisted mounts to replace the ones on your car now and just plug the vacuum port on the intake. Is there anyway I can delete this??
Wanting to delete something just because it is for emissions is wildI don’t know what it is if it’s for emissions that I don’t want, but if it’s something useful, I’ll keep it
And on a ecoboost ... NFW I'd be deleting anything vacuum related, unless I knew exactly what its for and what it ties into.Wanting to delete something just because it is for emissions is wild![]()
