How much rpm gain would I see going from 3:15 to 3:55 ?
Simple math.

If you change the gears by 12.7% (3.55 / 3.15) then the corresponding RPM increase by that much.

So if you're at 2000rpm with the stock gears, you would be at 2000 * 1.127 = 2254rpm with the new gears.

I see you list your car as a PP car, this should have a 3.73 Torsen diff, wonder whats going on. Either you changed cars, or the diff has been changed. The sticker is probably accurate on the diff. Hmmm...

If you really want to know and not sure:

1) Put a narrow white line on the rear tire
2) Put a mark on your driveshaft
3) With the rear safely elevated and secured with support stands on level ground, turn the rear wheel and see how many times the drive shaft rotates

On a 3.15 gear, the driveshaft will rotate just a tick over 3 times for every complete 360 degree rotation of the tire.
