Ordering the day after Christmas.... finally drove her home after dealership was kind enough to baby sit her for a few months while my garage was being built

By the way didn’t wash her yet- didn’t even want the dealer touching it! Everyone thought I was crazy, especially when I whipped out the painters tape.... “what this is a thing” lol never heard of rock chips? It was a 180 miles back home, and what a pleasure it was

I've not had alignment there but I'll keep that in mind.

My first wash! Foamed her 3 times before I put a mitt to her... as a detail enthusiast and washing her for the first time, following these big ford lines/ body Lines it was love at first wash....

You have no idea how many of us detailing nuts are living vicariously though this thread as you detail this beauty, I spent 13 hours doing paint correction upon receipt... loved EVERY minute of it.

so funny I was just texting a few buddies of mine.... unfortunately the material ford manufactured is abrasive to the clear coat.... I put mine on today and no matter how clean the car is, just hearing the sound of it sliding against the paint was disturbing.... I had a California car cover back in the day and that was more of a cotton feel opposed to the oem cover which has more of a car pool cover feel.... I hope this answers your Q.... me personally I put it on out of curiosity and it will do for now (waiting on my garage door to come in) but after I take this cover off it won’t be going back on that’s for sure.... fitment however is excellent -

I'm not happy with it. Feels too rough for my taste. I ordered a cover craft fleece lined one for indoor cover

I know you guys are gonna do what you're gonna do, but I'm as anal and a helluva detailer like a lot of us. Not just a perfect car, but perfect paint is my jam. I have been using the factory cover going on three years now and it goes on and off a handful of times throughout the month. I have observed ZERO paint damage from this cover. It feels and sounds a little annoying, but it's not hurting a single thing.

I I got two silk Coverking covers and am VERY happy with them. Fleece lining and it really pampers the car.
