I told myself I would not let the brake dust get to me but I know what it does to the wheels when you leave it on.
The barrels are what will get destroyed unless you keep them clean as well. Barrels are almost always neglected.
I’m looking at it as the price we pay for great brakes. I also know, unless you are tracking your car there are alternative pads that will drastically cut down on the dust.
Yes a simple trek across town will mess up a clean set of wheels.
I’m thinking a couple times a year the wheels are coming off for a through cleaning and ceramic coating.

Please tell me you did not use the wash mitt on that car wash. The chances of you scratching the car because someone just washed a muddy jeep in that bay are %100.00. Bring along a good wash mitt if you can and use it. Might save you $ in paint repairs later.

No way. I brought my own mitt, brushes etc. I figured that the the bristle brushes etc would all be beat to shit there.

Buying new wheels won't stop the dusting but Powerstop brake pads will pretty much cut it down by 90%.
