What Color White Stripes?

Well alright. Now I need to see if I can find side by side pictures of Wimbledon and Oxford white.

Yup, as a matter of fact, you can not even order vinyl side stripes with POTTS from Ford. Now that this will be a SA 2020GT500 SA car, Shelby rules supersede Ford rules to me. I mean, if the OTT stripes will be painted, so should the available side stripes, in my opinion.

Yes, I agree. You will be crossing over from the Shelby by name only category to the real deal Shelby category. You make it what you want to make it. Think long and hard about it (as you are) because I would want to keep it exactly as it was returned to me from Shelby North America for as long as I owned it.

I may do little odds's and ends, and bag & tag everything original to the car, but I will not mess with the core of the car.

Dave: I wasn't saying WW looks "terrible," obviously it didn't in the '60's. As was said previously, outside of direct color clashes, vehicle colors come down to personal taste and opinion.

I love the looks of that original Cobra in FPB and WW but I also love the 2020 OW and IMHO, Jaime's end result would fit in better with the current generation is all.

Jaime: I did some Web searching and while I could find RGB numbers for WW, I could not find them for OW so I can't give you accurate examples.

(And for those who aren't computer geeky, your display's adjustment and the room lighting play a big role in the colors you see onscreen. Granted, "whites" will be relative even with a poorly-calibrated display, but they won't be "eye accurate.")

I found this chart which is the best example I could find and if it's correct, WW is NOT as yellow as I originally thought. But, I'd still get OW.

Well, I'm glad it fit the bill for the day, Jaime and after checking some RGB numbers on those swatches, WW is very close to the numbers I found online so I will go out on a limb and say the two whites are about as accurate as you can get online.

And yep, WW does have more "black" in it but I guess the original I saw also had a color cast.
