It's so true. Ever since this thread I laugh quite a bit when I see them all attempting to zip and cut across 3 lanes to end up exactly where they'd be if they stayed in the same lane.

LOL. Just yesterday I seen an altima hauling ass and diving in and out of lanes and the first thing I thought about was this thread. I should have pulled the dash cam footage and uploaded it for entertainment.

The light turned green and all I heard was his exhaust drowning out everything else. He must have used launch control so I punched it as fast as I could.

Idk what the talk is about, he was barely at maybe a little over the PSL by the time I hit 110. He obviously wanted to race, but I guess the coyote is no match for our 2.5S. Too slow, next!"

I think you would find that 90% of the public has no idea how much HP a Mustang GT has now. Until 2011, the Mustang really had pretty mediocre power in the GT, matched by most V6's and even some 4 bangers.

I've talked with a lot of my friends now who are shocked that I'm driving a Mustang in the first place until I tell them it has 435 HP which usually drops their jaw.

Don't have my pony yet (its getting built next month, whoop! ) but it wont change who and what will attempt to race me, I can guarantee that.

There are a lot of performance cars in my area (north east UK), so you'd expect the douches in the BMW M cars, Jags, Civic Type Rs and etc. to be the ones to pick fights. Nope! Hell, I'll often see HiPo cars just cruising in the slow lane having a grand old time minding their own business.

But if someone does challenge you, its always one of the following 3 cars:

• Ford Fiesta
• Ford Focus
• Vauxhall Corsa

We're not talking ST or VXR here. It'll just be a regular old Ford Focus ZTec S with some bits glued on. Sometimes literally.

The worst offenders are the Vauxhall Corsas. Vauxhall (General Motors) do what is called a "Limited Edition" version of the car (ironically one of the most popular models), which gives it a less aggressive version of the VXR performance model's body kit and black wheels. The point of the limited model is to give you a lot of equipment like digital radio and Bluetooth, but dirt cheap insurance and a dirt cheap price sticker - to cut costs and insurance they throw in a 70bhp 1.2L Engine.

Every teenager or early 20-something with a new/new-ish license and middle class parents get's one of these cars. Said teens get it into their thick heads that putting a CAI (without heat-shield, obviously) and a fart cannon on the back will make them instantly the fastest thing on the road.

Three of them ganged up on me once in a car park outside a BK. I drove off, they followed, they challenged me to a "race" once we got on the Motorway.

They have 70hp and 85Nm of Torque. 16s to get to 60mph.
I have 210hp and 300Nm @ 6.8s.

I don't think I need to explain how it ended. :lol::lol:
