Going to change my tyres from the pirellis after sliding my way round town this morning.

Quick question though. I just fit 255/35/R19 eagle F1s to my Audi. Would these fit on the front my mustang - the ratio is different? Then I could just get 275 /40 /R19 on the back to match and put some cheapos on the Audi to sell it.

Not a clue about tyres tbh.

I don't understand the question but when it comes to Mustang tyres there is only 1 answer...

Michelin Pilot Super Sport (if you can still get them).

Sorry but every tyre thread always goes MPSS. :)

275/35/19 is a shorter wall and will fit fine but might look a bit funny.

Best cold wet weather tyres in order of wet grip are:
Uniroyal Rainsport 3
Michelin PS4
Goodyear F1AS2/3
Continental SP5/6
Michelin PS3
Michelin MPSS
Hankook EVO / S7 etc

Those are all a vast improvement over Pzero in cold wet weather.

As an all rounder so dry use, track use, longevity then the MPSS is hard to beat and is the tyre most owners have switched to around the world and are singing praise for.

Pzero is fine if you take your time and respect you have a powerful RWD car.

I have Uniroyal Rainsport 3 on mine, grip in the wet is insane. They were only ÂŁ101 each as well (+ÂŁ8 corner fitting). I'm square setup though 255/40/19

^^this

All tyres have their limits - they're just different limits for different tyres

No sense in getting rid of perfectly good PZeros. You'll be glad of them when it gets warmer

it's never warm in northern ireland lol - cold and wet accounts for about 95% of our weather here all year round

If your Erving will be mainly in wet conditions I'd try to get following:
1. Michelin PS4
2. Uniroyal Rainsport 3
3. Goodyear F1 AS2/3

I'd get MPSS over the Uni Royal or Goodyear if I could not get PS4 silly because the MPSS have superb subjective feel and in warmer wet conditions it performs so well and they last much longer than other tyres.

I still don't understand why they only put the AS tires on the CS? And after nearly 3000 miles am very happy with them, got a very good test, going down the runway at 140 in the wet and dry. no problems at all.

Presumably because the CS is meant to go from beach to ski slopes in one day i.e. California Special. But then you'd expect the Brembos as well rather the base brakes. No logic to Ford, except there will be money involved somewhere.

I have Rainsport 3's on my Mondeo and they are truly incredible in the wet. Don't think they'd last long on my Mustang in the summer though.

.
spot on with No Logic
They have done a package of the
rain sensing wipers
and the
ACControl

So to get the wipers you have to get the ACC, lucky for me, I wanted the ACC
