Aye, someone said to me when I first discovered the paint problem, it's jinxed get rid of it.
Maybe God's way of of telling you to get a V8. Hope you get sorted. I hate leaks.

Probably washed mine six or seven times so far using snow foam so plenty of pressure washing action with a trade spec Karcher checked today and bone dry. Think you may have an issue there.

Big_G I fear this maybe an issue with having one of the very first cars. Much like ferarri's & lambo's first solds usually have a few issues that aren't caught until the market is stress tested by the users... benefits of warranty.

What I fear most is if it needs parts (i.e a seal) and they're taking months to arrive, I'm gonna end up with floor pans rusted out, a mouldy & smelling carpet.
Gonna brave the dealers tomorrow, I'm not leaving it for however long though for them to tear it apart.

Latest update is they're busy taking the seats out (:eyebulge:) so they can lift the carpet out and dry it properly, then treat it again to stop smells/mould, etc
Once the carpet is out they're going to pressure test it and hopefully they should see water running in.

I hope this is the end of your woes mate. Really do, you've had more than the rest of the forums combined. [emoji36]

Yeh you deserve a break, hopefully you'll have this leak fixed and that will be you done with warranty claims and all the other unfortunate crap you've put up with.

At least they're doing a proper job......it's the only way to really get to the bottom of the issue;)

Problem fixed, broken grommet around the steering column/pedal area, he described it as "water pissing in there", replaced that and tested it again to find a broken seal just along from it. Fixed that as well.
Carpet is currently hung up in the workshop drying with the heating on full blast all night :)
All being well should get it back tomorrow afternoon just in time for some good Friday cruising

They should let the carpet dry naturally - otherwise it may be considerably smaller than it was!!

Glad you're getting it sorted

Should be ok, it isn't on direct heat, they have it hung in the workshop with the heating on

Picked my car up tonight, carpet is completely dried out and sprayed with treatment. Had a look at the pictures the mechanic took of the issue and its laughable, the grommet that broke was just under the drivers side cowl. The seal that had broke was a joke, where 2 pieces of sheet metal come together theres supposed to be a strip of sealant in there (similar to the stuff you'd use to seal bathrooms or windows, just a bit thicker), the sealant was 2 inches away from the joint just in the middle of nowhere.
