Purchased a new set of Weld S71 wheels and to my surprise, all four wheels had circumferential marring where the disk meets the barrel on the backside of the wheel. One or two of them even had scratches on the exterior of the inside rim. Another had the letter “R” written on it with what appears to be a sharpie marker. All four wheels appeared to be in unopened, original manufacturer packaging and never mounted.
While it’s not a huge deal since all the damage is on the backside of the wheels and not really visible except for the “R”, it’s unfortunate to see in such pricey wheels.
Has anyone seen this before?
