Hi guys!

I just noticed today when popping the hood to check the space for a CAI, a weird sound coming from the engine or a vibration next to it.

What do you think, should I take it to the dealer quickly ? 😥

Yeah I'd take that in soon, sounds pretty strange. Good luck!

The sound doesn't seems to be synchronized with the engine, I will contact my local Ford dealer ASAP just in case.

Maybe electrical like usgiorgi said.

I had notice a similar noise on my 15. It turned out to just be the pcv valve.

@TheGame1190 it's indeed around that part and sounds very similar. I added a Ford Performance oil catch can few years ago, maybe it's getting loose a bit.

You did something specific to fix it ?

Sounds like the cicadas have invaded. Doesn't sound like something mechanical inside the engine IMO.

As far as the tsb goes, mine was a 2015. I believe the noise was just being made by the check valve. Never did anything about it and no issues.

IT'S THE PCV valve, replace it its only 20$ amd you'll see it go away, had the same problem since my oil separator was pulling it down due to heaviness and as soon it was replace the noise went away.

Thank you all for your suggestions!

I indeed think it's that after more checks yesterday. Does someone know where I can find the PCV valve reference to order a new one online ? Otherwise I will ask my local Ford dealer.
