I’ve always had this issue with the battery but it usually dies randomly mostly during winter but I have never heard this sound

I tried remote starting the car and it made this weird ticking sound this is the first time I’ve heard it (in the video) I’m not sure what it can be the battery did die but it would still turn on but it would not start the engine till I jump started it.

has anyone had this issue? Or heard this noise

How old is the battery? Have you reset the BMS?

Pretty sure it’s a faulty/bad battery. Mine started clicking and car wouldn’t until I put a new one in. Happened to another person locally I know.
There are some threads that exist mentioning the clicking sound indicating that the battery was gone.
Just my thoughts

That sucks! I’ll definitely try checking the battery again thank you I’ve been thru 3 batteries the last 2 years 😂

It sounds like you may have a parasitic draw on your battery that is prematurely damaging your battery potential. I had that years ago with another car where I was annually replacing batteries.
Have you had aftermarket, electrical system reliant components installed? My son had an aftermarket DVD player installed, which we later learned was defective, causing numerous batteries to fail over the course of 3 years of ownership due to the parasitic drain.

Recharge the battery and as I stated this on another post, the one module that is the root of all evil that Ford has installed is the Telematics module. This little POS communicates to Ford over available WIFI networks. While it does allow system software updates, it also reports your driving habits to Ford. If you have WIFI enabled and not set up to a particular Network, then this module will kill you battery overnight as it keeps trying to connect. I suggest you set it up but disable it and keep it off.

that s the plug back by the drivers side tail light behind the side panel? If so there are thread explaining that but I never heard of it killing batteries. I unplugged mine just because. subscribed

The condition that will kill the battery is WIFI enabled but not configured to a network. It will wake up and search for one all night long. I lost a battery and drained a new one until I figured this out. I configured the WIFI to a network and then disable it. Going on 3 years now and no more morning surprises.

Sounds like a solenoid/relay switching really fast because of low voltage

Keep that thing on a charger

The clicking sound is completely normal. Means your battery has just enough juice to engage the starter solenoid but not enough to turn the starter itself and crank the engine. Happens on all cars. Definitely need a new battery but also 1 year lifespan for a battery is not normal. Something is draining it while the car is sitting.

You don't state how long the car is sitting jump start it go to your local Walmart Have them test the battery and electrical system they do it for free go inside and buy a battery tender.

This one works well On my Ford Ranger I have a more expensive one $100 for My Mustang. I believe it's made by CTEK

Yeah that clicking is completely normal for that situation. Its the relay trying.

Enough juice to run the computer but not enough to run the starter.
