hi so I’m brand new to the forums here and I’ve done some searching but decided to get some more insight. So I bought my 2015 ecoboost a month ago with 34k miles and today It’s raining and when I got into my car the passenger side kick panel had water dripping down it. The carpet is slightly wet not soaked. And the back is dry so is the trunk. After some searching I heard possible stickers or welds failing or maybe seals but idk where to begin here and paying 120 an hour at ford isn’t what I want. So looking for some help to diag or other potential ideas. Thanks

Location and everything indicates that you should check the drain for the A/C. Odds are that it is plugged. And yes, it can happen in cold weather too.

Do you know where this is on the S550? I know on previous models there was also a cowl drain that would get clogged up and cause these issues (think it might be the same as what you're talking about tbh), but I might be blind because I can't figure out where it is on our cars.

I've had some moistness in that area as well, never fully soaked or anything but I can tell because it feels moist, the car is humid, and the smell is off. I put a bag of DampRid in a couple of days ago and it pulled in about 1" of water over 4 days.

Have you checked to make sure the water isn't leaking in through the door weather stripping?
I've started noticing an issue on my car where there will be little pools of water sitting by the door speakers on the plastic trim after it rains for a while. When I open the door, I see a trail of wetness running from the weather stripping down along the area where the door panel and dashboard meet up to the bottom where it pools. Happens equally on both sides which is bizarre.. Carpet is not wet at all though.

Sorry, but I don’t know on the 550. I can find it on the Dodge Dakota blindfolded tho.

I know what you're talking about but that seems more like "condensation" to me when it does happen, not a lot of water there. I've seen it dripping a little along the fuse box kick panel before.Nothing on the driver side.
