I have a new to me 2016 Mustang GT Premium coupe with about 15K miles.

The passenger side window does not seem to go up as far as it should, maybe 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch less than the driver's side. As a result I have a horrible wind noise on the highway on the top of the passenger side window.

Both windows appear to properly open/close when the doors are opened/closed. I've done the calibration steps multiple times and it made no difference.

Before I have the headache of taking it in to the dealer for a repair (hopefully done under warranty), is there anything else simple I can do to see if the problem can be resolved? Any removal of the door cards or mechanical adjustments on the doors themselves will be left to the dealership.

I had no luck getting the window to go all the way up myself so it's now at the dealership for them to address. Hopefully it'll be repaired under the 3/36 warranty.

I was about to suggest that -- if it's covered -- don't mess with it yourself...but evidently you already did that.

Please follow up in this thread with the result.

The only messing around I did myself was the up/down cycle that's supposed to reset the travel limits of the window. It made no difference. I know better than to go tearing apart warrantied items.

The dealership was able to track the problem down to a faulty battery. They said that at some point in the past few months the battery died and caused some computer confusion when it did. They installed a new battery under warranty and reset all of the computers. The worksheet also says they removed the door panel and adjusted the window glass. At least it closes all the way now so I'm happy with the result.

So far, so good. No wind noise at all now. We'll see if it's a permanent fix.
