This is just out of curiosity but how old are you and are you male or female.

I just have to ask because I'm just trying to imagine a shark who thought the customer was so gullible and stupid that they could say something like this to them and think they would believe it

My age has nothing to do with it. I had said that I didn't believe what the guy was talking about. Simply looking for confirmation or if anyone else has been told this claim.

Basically Ford needs to do something about these clowns.

My saleswoman stepped back and said "You seem to know more about this than anyone here, what do you need help with?" And then proceeded to get me all the info I needed on how to order. Instead of coming up with some bs, she did the right thing. Dealers need more of that.

Also, they can only void the warranty if they can prove whatever you did (launch control, track mode, whatever) caused whatever you are trying to get covered (blown trans (GTR) ) to break. So, no, they can't even go and say you tracked your car, your SOL.

Heck, when my dealer was selling me on how great the ecoboost was, one of the reasons he gave me was how much power it makes with a tune. "Not that I would do that," he said. Yeah, wink wink, nudge nudge...

When I bought both my FRS and my Mustang the salesman at both places started giving a bit of their sales pitch then conceded "You apparently know more than I do so how about you make yourself at home, look around, drive it, and come back and buy it" Whenever we bought my wife's covic 6 or 7 years ago, the guy however started telling me about how the car was inspired by Hondas racing heritage. Lol

When I test drove my 1st 2015 Mustang (it was an EcoBoost) the salesman said it was a twin turbo. I told him it was a single turbo, but he was adamant it was twin turbo. I just left it at that.
