So, if someone test drives the car in track mode, but then decides not to buy they will have a brand new car on the lot with no warranty? Makes no sense.

I thought i read that if you use the line lock feature that will void the warranty. I don't think the EB has a line lock feature. Only the GT

Well I voided the warranty on a roush then. drove it around in track mode for 3 hours.

There has been some mentioning of voided warranties with line lock but no real proof from what i've seen. Yes it is a GT feature.

Ford really needs to do something about all these halfwits they have in their sales force. Good grief.

I actually heard this rumor for either the GTR or the hellcat

That was for the GTR when it first came out. Race mode voids your warranty. Plus people were breaking transmissions left and right in those cars.

Ford really needs to do something about these salespeople spewing out dangerous misinformation like that. They may lose sales because of that.

When I purchased my Ecoboost Mustang, my salesman told me that if I put my car in "track" mode and I am not on the track them my warranty is automatically voided. He said that the car can tell because of the GPS. Personally I don't believe it, but I have been leary about using the mode. Can anyone confirm this claim?

This is just out of curiosity but how old are you and are you male or female.

I just have to ask because I'm just trying to imagine a shark who thought the customer was so gullible and stupid that they could say something like this to them and think they would believe it

I think it's more about a salesman that doesn't know much about a product he is selling.

What if you are in snow or ice and switch to that mode, will that void your warranty too? Some salesmen are absolute idiots.

When I test drove my 1st 2015 Mustang (it was an EcoBoost) the salesman said it was a twin turbo. I told him it was a single turbo, but he was adamant it was twin turbo. I just left it at that.

You just described almost every single car salesman I've ever met.

Yep. Just about every car i've ever bought i knew more about the car than the salesman did which is sad because they should do more to learn about the product that they sell and are supporting their income with.

I had a salesman try to dazzle me with his brilliance in explaining to me how "ecoboost" worked. Of course, he was almost entirely wrong. That was after he mocked me for not seeing the ecoboost Mustang we were standing right next to... only it was a GT.
