That is not misinformation. You still get a warranty albeit shorter. If you use a non Ford Racing tune, you could have 0 warranty. What I said was not untrue. The title of the thread is "Warranty friendly tuner from Ford Racing", not "Which tune should I go with".
From what I heard they can only tell *if* it was flashed. So if you own a stock car and flash an aftermarket, they will see it was flashed and think somethings up. If you buy their tune from them, they will know it was flashed, and it really doesnt matter how many times because you can say you...
I wonder if it would be more "warranty" safe, if you bought the ford's updated tune, then you have on record that your car is retuned. Then get an aftermarket tune, and if you have any issues or need warranty work, throw the ford tune they know you have back on. That was, if they check how many...
Pinellas county here, can confirm. Having to travel from north Palm Harbor to south Largo each day, there is a stop light every 15 feet, and each one takes 10 minutes. I still love my manuals. That is why my current 240sx is supercharged, I don't have time to spool a big turbo, lol.
If all I cared about were drag times, I may get an auto. I drive every day, and like to enjoy my car. Auto is not enjoyable for me personally. I'll take 500hp though still, plzkthx.
Turbo the bass down? Lol. My subs make my rear view mirror slowly move direction if I ever have it turned all the way up. All kidding aside. I have no idea... my bad.
You are missing the point of my post, which is fine. *I* care that it has the stock bottom end. we already know FFTECS will last much longer. I am interested to see how long the factory bottom end holds up with that power. I am aware of the importance of a tune. If it holds up a long time, that...
Well, to be honest though, many many motors, if swap out the internal for forged pistons, rods, and forged crank that are made to specifically handle it, throw on a big turbo, most any could reach those numbers. I am actually more impressed by the 500hp MAP was pushing out of the stock bottom...
Beautiful stang, bud. I can't wait to get mine. I would not mind being able to afford a 5.0, but it will be EcoBoost for me. I usually prefer boosted cars anyways. ...a boosted 5.0 would be ok.. : x
I am hoping it gets unlocked by modders, only issue I can see though is it "can connect to any open wifi", which means, if it does automatically, it can just login, update, do whatever it wants when it wants, probably without you knowing.
