Hell even a super slick street tire can be a problem. Back when had a 4th gen supercharged camaro I got caught in a freak rain storm. In houston you somtimes hit a wall of rain in the summer when it's nice and sunny out. It happens pretty fast and I went from dry warm highway to monsoon level deep standing water. I was doing about 70 when I hit it and similarly went immediately sideways. This was well before actual stability control. I managed to save it though. Luckiliy i had room right of me as I slid.

I spun out and took out my rear quarter panel several years ago. 35mph in rain, but there was a dip in the pavement, slight curve, and that's all it took. Is it worth it to upgrade from 3000 mile P-Zeros to NT555 G2 for better traction with a blower?

Had to drive in some decent rain in my Terminator on the highway in NT05Rs and thought I was going to lose it several times at 40mph in a 70. They just have nothing to evacuate the water.

I could've told you this 8 years ago. Driving at 5AM on the highway at 55 with ET streets and got surprised by rain. I gently started getting off the accelerator and suddenly she was gone. Went across 4 lanes and hit the center wall. Luckily they were meaty enough to stick out and took the hit, bent the back axle though.

MPSS here too. They are very expensive, but since I daily mine too it was the best option. I'd be surprised if anything that Nitto makes is as good as the MPSS for a high hp + daily scenario, but I don't think I've seen a comparo of those two.

I'm running the exact same tire and size as the GT350 and I'm on aftermarket 11" wheels.

And watch in the cold too! Lol. I had mine out last night, it was 15 degrees and on the stock pirellis I was surprised by violent wheelspin at 80ish in 4th gear as revs were coming past 4k under wot. The traction control cannot react fast enough. And I love it!!

I walk to work every day, my poe is 170 feet from my house. This gives me the liberty to choose not to drive in the rain at all. When i go on a trip the weather forcast is essential. What im going to do is get two rear wheels to mount my 285/35/19 nitto invos to have on stand by just in case. I have invos on the front now and 305/35/19 nt05r's on the back!

I'm going to do something similar. Run 20s on the rear in R888 or 555R and mount some street tires on the stock 19s for trip to Cruisin OC and such.

I would suggest the nt555 as a big improvement over the pzeros, but still depending on highway and temperature, I can go sideways in 3rd

Hell my stock Pzeros do exactly the same thing with my SC. if its below 65 degrees, I can spin them at will, its annoying as hell. And whats the sound tube mod youre talking about???
