Yes, x-plan is the way to go. I got the base GT with PP for $34,200 out the door.

That CTS-V must be a few years old for that price. I would stick with the '15GT at xplan pricing.

556 hp is sexy as hell. But the new mustang is a pretty nice car and 37k is some serious miles, especially if the cts-v was abused as many were. Ultimately both nice cars. Choose what makes you happy.

The cts-v is a sweet car and that's a decent price. I wouldn't let the miles bother you too much because that car rocks. If you can get it for $35k it would be a hard choice for me. Unless the ignition switch fails and the airbag blows up in your face. LOL...sorry, had to throw that one in there. Seriously, it's a bad ass car.

I'd agree with the X-plan and disagree with the CTS-V guys. I find it to be one of the ugliest cars made for the price...but Cadillac hasn't done much for me in a while, until they learn to design something with more than a ruler even holding the title of "fastest sedan" is a bit boring.

How did you get a Base GT PP for $34,200? I have a base GT PP with Recaros for $34,800...

the sticker was 70k so depreciation has taken its toll. I also wonder if the 15 gt would depreciate so much in 3 years compared to the 12 cts-v. also Im also thinking about exclusivity . hmmmm

I was looking at those today as well. It must be a a 2011 CTS-V you'll be lucky to land a 2012 at that price. Your better of with the 15 IMO that's the route I choose to go.

EDIT: I just noticed you said its a 2012.... thats a pretty good price amigo, That is a tough decision. I like the gadgets that Ford has to offer to be honest.. I hate On-Star.

in your opinion Better why? because its newer?
im unfamiliar with cadillacs or even mustangs for sure but I was assuming the cts-v is a better built car over all?

Thats a great price for a 2012, I didnt see the year you were referring to until I read all your comments here recently. All 2011 here in Texas no cheaper than 40k. The car IMO is a little too boxy for me as well. Tough choice for sure but I'm a Mustang fan boy... this will be my 3rd.

Drive the CTS-V for a year or two and then get a S550. You won't lose a ton on the CTS-V and there may be a GT350 by then.
