If you think trying to put 700 HP down to the road with the base GT's suspension, diff, tires, etc. is a good idea, please go on with your bad self and do it.

Do it, and strap a GoPro to your head while driving, so we can all see the results.

Or just wait for the OP's results.

I predict we get another "Ordering a '22 'Stang" from the OP within a few months.
Lol, you mean that thing that people do all the time? Obviously nobody is running base wheels and tires with a blower, but none of the other shit that PP offers makes that much of a difference on street pulls. It's not like PP1 dampers are really any better, and even the upgraded brakes, while very nice, aren't stopping the car that much quicker, they just have much better endurance.

I'm not even necessarily disagreeing that you shouldn't at least consider doing some upgrades, especially to the rear cradle, when doing FI, but most of those upgrades apply to all GT's.

Family issue has caused the change. Besides which, the GT will cost $39,075. Add $8,400 for the s/c and I'm still ahead. The Mach1 would have been north of $60k. I'll take 700+ hp at the crank any day of the year in a sleeper GT vs the Mach 1 stock. I'm going to install the fender badges from the HO 4 banger .................
Don't think the EB badges will fool anyone; all they gotta do is listen to the exhaust note. I've heard the EB exhaust and I swore I'd only get a V8.
