Anyone get their VIN today yet?

If the scheduling process works as I remember it, VINs show up on Thursdays after a weekly scheduling system run on Wednesday nights. My salesperson indicated this is what he expected too. This thread was started last Thursday.

I think we might see more VINs in 3 more days for the dealer stock orders.

Also, hypothetically, if a dealership knows that special orders would be delivered first, smart dealers would place lots of special orders, then cancel the pretend orders to be the first dealer on the block with Mustangs to show off and sell at full price. (Well, that is what I would do if I owned a :ford: dealership.) Who would know :shrug:

Actually I asked this question to the co-owner of the dealer I bought through. He said this causes a "????????" (I cant remember the phrase lol). But what he said was a dealership will get penalized for creating an order that way and then not following through. It causes them to loose their spot in line for future orders and was designed to keep dealers honest.

He said when cars are special ordered for retail there is a code that is printed right on the window sticker and for example, if there were 50 cars slated for transport to a certain dealer, the retail/special orders will be placed on the transport truck first and then the remaining spots on the truck will be filled with stock orders. This assures the retail orders take priority over the stock orders.

I understand that everybody is being feed multiple different things and we should take them with a grain of salt.

I just wish the freaking tracking would work for me :(

Possibly, or it wasn't checked earlier. So if they are coming whenever, GREAT!

Got my vin and tracked it! A text from my dealer said it was scheduled for production 8/18.

Great, now it's not recognizing the Order #, Dealer Code, or the VIN #.. Good thing is I took a screenshot of the page to look back at it in case this happened
